Bad skin,
Hi girls, just wondering if anyone experienced a break out in bad skin, before my op I didn't have any spots, only the odd one during the wrong time of the month, but since the op 3weeks ago, my skin has been all over the place!
Just wondered if it's just me or if anyone had this after their op too? It's soooooo annoying!!!! X

Re: Bad skin,
Its not just you hun. After having a BA it can disturb the skin glands and I found my skin got really greasy! No matter what I used to try and dry it out it just stayed greasy and 'for me' this went on for months.
My cleavage area especially was affected and it did upset me a lot at times, but thankfully its one of those things that does settle down to normality all on its own lovely. Xx

Re: Bad skin,
My face has become soooo greasy it's horrible! Esp in the morning but I've tried to keep it clean as possible... I've not come out in lots of spots but have a few on my boobs! On the insides of my boobs near the cleavage too! I'm hoping it will get better soon xx

Re: Bad skin,
Ah thank god, I just thought I was turning into a spotty monster with my boobs constantly looking like I've done a massive gym workout! It's just mainly on my face and boobs, thanks I'll just have to be patient. Did anything work for you to settle it down? X

Re: Bad skin,
Hi, my skin was so bad 2-4 weeks post op I dont know if it was anything to do with having the op or not but its much better now thankfully. if it doesn't clear up soon I'd go to your gp about it, ive been on an antibiotic for my skin for past 10months and it has worked wonders. Xx

Re: Bad skin,
Oh really, I've not really had bad skin before apart from the odd ones, so it's sticking out like a sore thumb (for me) Just fingers crossed it will disappear soon!!! If it doesn't clear oh soon I'll go to the gp :( thanks for making me feel normal, I thought I was doing something wrong x

I didn't have bad skin before babe... It will settle down, it just will take time and how much time that is will be up to your own body hun. Xx
Re: Bad skin,
I've never had spots or bad skin either, but after my BA, my skin also went berzerk.. my face and chest were so greasy and spotty :( it took around 4 months to settle down x

Re: Bad skin,
Yep...I have the same greasy skin since my surgery as everyone else seems to have.
Feels weird to put my daily moisturiser for "extra dry skin" on this face every morning.

Re: Bad skin,
That's real weird, my skin feels almost waxy, and my skin before was like a rhino. I've gone from one extreme to another............. Very strange................ I suppose you just got to bare with it............xx

Re: Bad skin,
It has something to do with the balance of some glands being effected by the surgery, and yes... Thankfully it is only temporary. XxDing_dongs wrote:I wonder why it is, very strange but at least it's temporary I guess, lol x

Re: Bad skin,
I have noticed my skin has gotten very greasy, especially in the morning. I think the surgery must disturb the skins natural balance. x
