Post-Op Bra Size (to take with me for day case)
Hi Ladies
Quick question, I'm sure there will be more and more and I move ever closer to D-Day, or should I say B-Day! .....
Should the band size of my sports bra be the same as it is currently, or should I buy a larger one - just not sure if you get any swelling below your boobs? Am currently a 34B, so I have bought a couple of 34D/DD bras, both zip-up and normal fastening. Wasn't sure if I should also get a 36D/DD??????
Any advice greatly received ... getting nervous now.
Have also bought a couple of travel cushions for the journey home, thanks to advice read on the forum, nice swishy ones as I have a 3 hour journey home, lets just hope the weather improves!!!
xxxxx

I will be interested in the response to this as I have not bought any post-op bras yet for that reason.
I think girls usually say to get with a bigger band size due to the swelling but also it is comfier to wear at night.

Hi,
I would definately get a bigger band size. I am a 30/32 band size and I wore 34 band bras. I could also have done with a 36 over the first few days.
You could always get the strap converter thingies. They sell them in La Senza and you clip them to your bra and they make the band size bigger. This should allow for any swelling.
What size implants are you getting? I had 410 overs and was a 32B before. I had 34DD's and 34E sports bras and they were fine.

I would get a bigger band size I'm a 32 and had so much swelling around my ribs wennt up to a 36. Good luck hun
Re: Post-Op Bra Size (to take with me for day case)
Definately a bigger band size! I'm a 34 but bought 36s, I'd cut the 'hook and eye' bits off my old bras before I threw them away and I was glad I did, they acted as expanders, as I was so swollen after my op and even the 36 was too small!.. it was such a relief to have a little more room!
Re: Post-Op Bra Size (to take with me for day case)
Thanks guys - excellent tip about cutting off the old hook & eye's - going to be a bit nostalgic about cutting up my old ones though - some are soooo pretty :-( but bring on the new improved boobies!!! Hey, I can always buy more
I'm currently going for 460cc implants, so I have bought some 36DD's today as well. I can always send the OH out to exchange if necessary.
Thanks for your advice girls. xx

hi tabitha,
im a 32 band normally and i took a couple of 34s and a couple of 32s, straight after my op the 34s were more comforable cos of the swelling, but after a few days i started wearing the 32s, so i would say take a couple of different sizes xx
