6wk post op appointment
Had it yesterday at 5wks post op rather than 6wks and as most of you know it was with a nurse rather than ps.
Bit of a waste of time was there a whole of about 20 seconds, she had a quick look at my scars said they were healing nicely and said she'd leave a note for SH.
Unfortunately she couldn't tell me what SHs rules are with regards to normal bras so I'll have to give my pc a ring on Monday and ask her instead .
On the plus side I did however get a few hours of shopping on oxford street , when I lived in london that was my local 'high street' and I've really really really missed it!! There's nothing like decent shops is there!
I also went to debenhams to get measured and came in at............drumroll please.................
32DD
I only bought one twin pack of non wired bras (they were only £14), they look like something my gran would wear but I wasn't sure if I'm allowed wired bras yet or not and I'm not buying anything fancy until the christmas sales when I'm going to splurge in a local boutique.
So that was my day yesterday, came back knackered and true to form ds3 decided he'd be up from midnight till 3am (thanks life!), so not even taking ds1 to his swimming today (no parenting awards in this house!).
Not sure whether to take some progress pics tonight or wait until next friday when I'm officially six weeks post op, probably opt for the latter.
Hope everyone has a nice weekend, x

Congrats on your DD hun, i had my 6 week check up with SH and it was the same, i was in and out in about 3 mins after he checked the scars and boobs, said everything was alright and that was it. SH usually says 6 weeks for normal bras but best to check x

Re: 6wk post op appointment
Glad to hear all seems to be healing well hun. You should be able to wear wired bras from 6 weeks, but as always the advice is to confirm this with your own surgeon first as some prefer their ladies in 'em for longer than that and others shorter, but to cover your aftercare policy you should always make sure all is OK. xxx

Re: 6wk post op appointment
SH told me after my 6 week check I was fine with normal bras too. I didn't wear them until about 10 weeks though as my boobs didn't seem to mould too well into the cups of regular bras at that stage and I still found sports bras more comfortable xxxx

Hi M23B!
We've already spoken about your post op appt on PM but wanted to add my HUGE DD CONGRATS on here too!
Ha, ha I had to laugh when you said it lasted all of 20 secs... as you know, my appt was at 10.15 on the same day as yours and I was in and out before the time of my appt had even come about! Reckon it was 5 mins max!
Can't wait for my 6 week post op check now and for SH to have a look at them and tell me all is looking good!!
I hope you get to wear those nice pretty push up bras soon!! xxx
