Post Op Appointment - what happens?
Hi ladies
I've got my post op appointment tomorrow at Dolan Park hospital, I got my BA last Friday... can you tell me what exactly happens at this appointment? Will my dressings be changed or come off completely etc.....
Thanks

Re: Post Op Appointment - what happens?
Your wounds will be checked and any stitches that need to be snipped will be done then, if you're healing well it's possible you 'might' have your dressings removed, some like you to leave them on a little longer though and may give you dressings to change yourself at home. Your boobs will also be checked to ensure they're softening up and you will have an opportunity to discuss any concerns you might have and that's about it really... if felt necessary you may be required to go back for another check, if not then you'll just be required to see your surgeon at your next post-op check - usually about 6/12 weeks post-op.xx

Aww it will be lovely for you to see your new boobs in full, dont worry they wont rip the plasters off, they are very gentle.

Don't worry hun - I was panicking about my post op appointment. I was more nervous before that than I was for surgery! Thought there would be a problem and I wouldn't be able to have my long awaited shower and worried getting the stitches pulled would be sore but all was fine. Didn't even feel the stitches coming out, dressings were removed and I got to have my shower!
