8 days to go....what do I need to pack?
Morning,
Does anyone know if theres a list anywhere of what I need to take to the hospital with me? I am only a day case so obviously dont need an over night bag, but dont know whether I am being optimistic about the pain afterwards by thinking of taking my laptop, magazines, book etc??
What about clothes? Anyone got any advice on what the best type of clothing to wear to come home is, i.e. easier/more comfortable to get in to??
Also should I start taking Arnica now as I only have 8 days to go!!! xxx

I wore a tracksuit with a zip up top and slip on trainers to come home in, found I was able to get into that ok but wouldn't have gotten into jeans etc very easily.
I watched tv after my op, was on the computer the next day when i was home ok.

I have no idea about Arnica though . I never took it but there are some girls who did and I'm sure they'll be able to help you out.
For clothes try to take things can can be pulled up your body rather than over your head. I have a fantastic stretchy batwing top that I wore to come home.

Re: 8 days to go....what do I need to pack?
i was told i could take arnica if i wanted 2 days before (by my surgeon,, when i asked)
but when i went in to buy it the lady recommended me taking it then, a week before and increase the dose nearer the op. my surgeon says theres no proof of it working, but have you looked at my pics? i had rhino aswell and not much bruising.
i overpacked as the hospital said to pack dressing gown and slippers-didnt need these.
i wore my pjs home! with tracksuit bottoms and a zip up top over.
not long to go hun, the time will fly now you ll see xxx

i'd take a bottle of water and some biscuits to nibble on in the car on the way home. i don't know about make up, don't know if you'll be up for applying it after you wake up. i'd take a warm jumper or coat as well, if it's cold outside the shakes from the anasthetic wearing off could be alot more. =)
