thread veins
While I was away on holiday I got lots of thread veins on my boobs and chest. I have some on my legs but never noticed them on my chest before. Do you think its cos the skin has been streched and the sun exposure has brought them out? xx

Re: thread veins
I have these really faintly and I didn't have them before, I think it's just down to stretching the skin. xx

Re: thread veins
I've got loads on my thighs and they're ugly. Agree I don't think its to to with the skin stretching. My dads got awful veins so I guess its just hereditary for me.

Re: thread veins
i think you can have them laserd?? but not sure of the cost, i would defintly have it done at some point, i dread the summer times with wearing skirts n shorts etc, its not soo bad with a tan as it hides them a bit, but still would just love to get rid of them for good, lol x

Re: thread veins
I have these on my feet and i'm convinced I got them during labour but I couldn't see my feet for the last 3 months of pregnancy so not sure whether it was the pregnancy or labour.
I'm sure you can have them lasered too! Might look into it!!!

Re: thread veins
I have some on my leg, by the side of my knee.
I just looked it up and they are caused by:
Weight gain
Exposure to the sun
Changes in hormones (i.e pregnancy or the pill)
Smoking
Bad diet
Apparently they are more common on the legs but can occur anywhere!

Re: thread veins
It's all doom and gloom isn't it??!!
I thought they were caused by being on your feet a lot and wearing high heels etc or is that varicose veins?!

Re: thread veins
Laser and IPL - thread vein removal treatments
Lasers and IPL can be used to remove thread veins on the face, body and legs. Laser treatments will remove fine and large thread veins quickly and effectively two or three sessions is usually all that is needed to leave your skin feeling smooth and blemish-free. This is a non invasive treatment for veins 1-3 mm in size. We generally recommend on average 5 treatments.
Sclerotherapy - thread vein removal treatments
Sclerotherapy is also effective in removing thread veins from the body and legs - this is a relatively simple non surgical treatment which only takes 30-40 minutes. A very fine needle is used to inject a solution into the vein, which causes it to perish and, over a course of treatments, disappear completely. The number of treatment sessions depends on how many areas need to be treated but we generally recommend on average 4 treatments
this is what i found on The harley med site, but it doesnt say an exact cost?? ill check out a few others xx
