REALLY CONFUSED ladies!!!
I have been measuring myself every couple of days since my op as im sooo paranoid that my boobs are smaller tihis time than before the re-op! The measuring makes me see that they arent! They are now down the same size ( which i expected as i only had an extra 50cc put in) but they are a different shape so im hoping that i will fill a D cup this time as thewire of a D cup was the rigt size before but i didnt fill the cup properly so had to squeeze into a C!
Anywhoo, i measured my band width this morning and it measured 28"! Doesnt that make me a 32??? I was defo 29" before the op! I havent lost any weight so how can that be???

Re: REALLY CONFUSED ladies!!!
I dunno! Tbh I think bra-measuring is a bit of a mystery and you've just got to wear what fits and feels comfy!
I used to have a 28.5" rib cage and wore 30s or 32s depending on the brand.
Maybe you have lost some weight around your rib cage and put a little bit back on your big toe, so that's why you haven't noticed the loss?!???

Re: REALLY CONFUSED ladies!!!
I think getting measured by Bravissimo/M&S etc etc would be a good idea. They can tell what size you are and will reccomend.
I have a 26" ribcage and I was told I'm a 28 back.
Apparently you add 2 if it's an even number, and add 3 if it's odd.
So if you measure 28" back, you should wear a 30 band... if that makes sense. It should be tight, and you shouldn't be able to pull the band off your back more than an inch. If you can strecth it more than that then you're wearig a band size too big.

Re: REALLY CONFUSED ladies!!!
Oh, i thought it was "add 4 to even number and 5 to an odd"??? I was told by la senza i was a 34 as i measured 29" and theres no way i could fit into a 32 band. Now im really confused! lol but your right i will wait and see in a few weeks x

Re: REALLY CONFUSED ladies!!!
I'm not sure, I think the add 4/5 was based on old bras, they weren't designed like ours are today.
I pretty much doubt I've a 23"/24" ribcage, but who knows!

Re: REALLY CONFUSED ladies!!!
I was the same, I never spent more than £3 on bras pre BA (well, maybe that's a bit of an exaggeration but you catch my drift)
Re: REALLY CONFUSED ladies!!!
oh yes i remember it well! Isnt it funny, for me,on the rare occasion i bought a new bra, it was a case of grab and run, the cheaper the better! After my first BA i spent ages trawling through the rails in La Senza! That was until i had to start wearing a C cup again ( tats what i wore pre-op but heavily padded!). I lost interest then so fingers crossed, this time will be different, i will stay at a D cup and go back to spending hours in the shop!! hehehe x

Re: REALLY CONFUSED ladies!!!
I'm confused just reading that lot!!! :pale:
Em babes, just try lots of bras in the different sizes until you find one that fits and is comfy...!
Also , different brands fit differently,so its even more confusing...
Me, I'm just grateful to get into anything beyond an A cup that isn't filled with gel and chicken fillets!!
(p.s. I'm a 34DD, but in Asda and Primark I'm an E!! Naturally...I LOVE asda and primark....!)

Re: REALLY CONFUSED ladies!!!
Its nuts innit? I know someone who had 340cc and came out an E! And another 260cc and got a DD!
Yeah, I'm 34DD in most places I've bought bras...BHS, Avon (though could do with an E in Avon ones) Tescos and a couple from TKMaxx, though I got an "O" brand (?) one from TKM in an E. Guess it depends on the brand.
All I'm really bothered about is that they look big in clothes...(which they do)...and that with no bra I've still got something!! (I'd put my jim-jams on at night and needed a sign on the front saying "this way up"!)
Sure you'll be fine this time hun... remember you have to give it time...I know its a pain in the a*** to keep hearing it, but it true!
