Swimming after your 6 week op when ps says it's ok.
Exercises probably when you feel up to it. Wouldn't do anything too early but if you feel ok I'm sure it should be fine.

Re: swimming and other exercises after BA???
you could go out walking when you feel up to it hunny, walking is great for your lower body, and clears your head too.
6 weeks for most other forms of exercise though hun, i hated that bit too...put on half a stone with sitting on my eating junk
i'm just getting back to the way i was....well actually ive still a bit to go yet tbh toning wise.

Re: swimming and other exercises after BA???
just thought i'd say that i read in womans health magazine the other day that u should wear like a supportive swimsuit like the nike bikinis wen u swim cus swimming in a bikini is just as bad as going running without a sports bra on so it can make them sag.. u probably already know this but i didn't so i thought i'd share lol xxxxxxx

Re: swimming and other exercises after BA???
I used to go running 3 or 4 times a week before ba and am finding it frustrating too. Feel like my stomach is growing by the day! Anyway, I have found that going out walking helps and I've also got a personal trainer game for my nintendo wii which is great as I can just choose lower body exercises like squats and lunges. I am 14 days post op and have found these to be ok. I choose the easy level so I'm not over doing anything and there's no impact on your upper body. Hope this helps :)

Re: swimming and other exercises after BA???
Hi
It's absolutely killing me too! The gym is my sanity! I love my kids to pieces but 4 of them 24/7 from when i had my boobs done and no gym - OMG i'm doin my nut! Past week my mind and body has been up for it in the mornings but when hubby gets home my boobs are tellin me different. I know i have to listen to my body. At the moment i think because i haven't been able to fully sit back and recover - cause of my 4 wonderful babies - my boobs are still givin me grief still stinging alot!!
Anyway being good on the eating front so i'm not overly worried i just miss it loads!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: swimming and other exercises after BA???
lol lou- my 3 year old told me today "mummy your doing my nut in"...probably as Iv been saying that to her since my BA and the school holidays kicked in. Why is there never anything to do for them over the holidays?!..its sooooo frustrating!
Iv decided that enoughs enough and Im going to a pilates class later. I feel fine and if theres anything to strenuous then I wont do it but im going insane and starting to flab up again!
I used to hate the gym- now I have kids you have to tear me away from it lol!!

Re: swimming and other exercises after BA???
Do you know why they say "no swimming" ?
I'll tell you why because I thought it was just a silly rule to be extra careful until I jumped straight into my new pool at 5 weeks and physically couldn't swim!!!! I nearly drowned! If you think about the muscles you use to keep you afloat, they're your boobie muscles!! I had to get my friend to get me to the shallow end!
Don't swim girls! And if you do, don't jump in the deep end!! x
