Is 'high profile' the same as 'full projection' as in how much the implant sticks out?

Sorry if this has already been covered xxxxxx

hiya hunnie. I'm not 100% sure but i think full projection is inbetween moderate and full. eg it hasmore projection than the moderate but slightly less than the high. OMG-I'm so not any good at trying to explain it!
hopefully someone will be along in a min to let know. :dunno: x

Hi hun, I know it's so confusing isn't it!

I'm not an expert either, so I could be wrong here! But I think the terminology depends on the implant you're having. For example, PIP implants come in standard, high or ultra-high profile. Allergan, however, have moderate, full or extra-full projection. (I think Allergan do low projection for the anatomicals too, in terms of how far they 'stick out'.)

I think high profile would be similar to full projection - I was going to have high profile PIPs but now having full projection Allergans as this was closest. But there is a difference of a few mm's.

The best thing is to try to find the website for your implant make to get the dimensions - if they're not on there you could always call them.

Hope this helps hun xx

i always thought full projection was the same as high profile, but you would be better to call your pc and confirm that hun.
i'm not an expert on that one either although i'm sure someone that does know for sure will come along soon and advise you.

Hi Gemma,

Sorry I just read your other thread and you're having Nagor implants.

The Nagor cataolgue is actually online:

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

then you can download it on the right of that page.

Having a quick look, you can see GFX 340 on there is high profile, as you've been told. Projection is 40 mm - there's a diagram to show that means it sticks out 40 mm.

It seems like Nagor implants' high profile dimensions are exclusive to them. All implant makes do seem to vary slightly when looking at similar cc and profile category.

Hope I haven't confused you even more Rolling Eyes xx

Each company varies when they say high/full projection. Eg Allergan CUI implants may have a different measured projection than say Nagors. But they may still call them 'high' or 'full'

That catalogue should help you determine what implants your having and their dimensions.

hi ruth the profile will determine how much your boobs will stick out from your chest.
low profile are wider and stick out the least, then moderate is slighlty narrowe but stick out a bit more and then high profile are narrower again and will stick out the most.
your ps should really have told you about profiles hun but then again i knew nothing about profiles when i had my first b/a either.
you learn so much from forums like this though and it helps you so much to decide what you actually want.
