Confused
MR Singh bandaged me up today and told me to take it off after 4 days of wearing them, and then put a sports bra on. So if I take my bandages off Sunday, what will the nurse do at my post op on Wednesday?? just change my dressings?
Also when is it ok to start wearing deodrant spray??? or should I be using roll on????
And no bath or shower for 10 days right??? God Im so used to washing my hair and showering every morning lol xxxx

Well, every surgeon makes different recommendations but, yes, if you take the bandage off on Sunday, then the nurse will check your dressings at the post op and make sure you're healing properly.
I just used a roll on deoderant for 6 weeks and didn't shower for two! You can get by with just having shallow baths and using a flannel for the rest - hair washing needs to be done over the sink - and you can extend that by an extra day if you use a dry shampoo.
You'll be fine hun - the next two weeks will fly by

Re: Confused
Aw!!! Someone should be sleepies me thinks
As Annie said eveyones reccomendations differ!! However, they will check all is as expected and offer further advice re: progress, scar management etc.
As for washing, showering etc. not a good time!!! But, it has to be done!!! Shallow baths, dry shampoo, roll on deo. wipes etc...and avoiding people for a bit is good too
Liking your new avator 'Gotsomeboobs' a tad more calming!!!
Rest up now and ensure you are propped up with loads of pillows for comfort and to ease swelling xxx

Re: Confused
Hi sweetheart,
I only had relatively small dressings on my scars and no bandages. My ps told me they were waterproof and that I could shower but I didn't until after my 10 day check! Wipes are a god send and I love dry shampoo anyway. Because I had unders first time I was immobile for a few days (not to mention being so spaced out on tramadol) that I didn't really care!
At my first post op check the nurse snipped one of the stitches on each side but said the rest would dissolve in their own time. She put small plasters over the scars but said that I could shower with my back to the water and dry the plasters off with a hairdryer. Once they came off I had my first bath which was bliss!!! This was at about 2 weeks I think.
Happy resting sweeties xxxxxxx
