I feel really bunged up today, my ba is tomorrow can I take some sudafed today to try and get rid of it? X

Its fine, dont panic! As long as its just a cold, and not a chest infection, they'll still go ahead. Its actually quite a regular thing that happens. Dont take any drugs, including a lemsip, it could affect the GA. Just some paracetamol if you get a banging headache, hot water and honey if your throat hurts. Drink plenty of fluids today and get some rest if you're not well.

It's definitely not a chest infection, it's a runny nose more than anything else. I've been quite anxious for the past week so I imagine that lack of sleep isn't helping. I'm glad you have said that though because I don't want it postponed!

Hi don't worry about it. A cold is a virus that you can't really get rid of. It's nothing to worry about before your op, like said above as long as it's not a chest infection. Xxx

I'm all done, was first in at about 9 and in my room awake by half ten :) I will write up a surgery story later when I'm a bit more awake.
