Re: Scars after 11 days
What is it that's worrying you? At this stage they're going to be very prominant and scabby, but that's fine. They might be higher than your crease too, but they'll move into place as the implant does. Right now you need to be wary of green smelly pus, it getting increasingly angry looking, and cold symptoms for infection. Other than that, they need a lot more time to heal.

Re: Scars after 11 days
I have been told not to take the dressing off until next Monday and the surgeon will do it. I'm looking forward to seeing them.

They are not smelly but the look white and a little wet. I got salt water and a cotton pad to wipe them clean. Am I ment to clean them? There was a smell but like a sweat smell not a bad smell. X

Re: Scars after 11 days
Using sea salt (only sea salt) will kill an external bacteria but not internal. Try to keep them as dry as possible. The whiteness is probably wet scab, this must have a chance to dry out and stay dry. Maybe strip/flannel wash for a couple of days to give them a good chance to dry out. Keep a close eye/nose on that smell, as Charlii said, your very early on healing and it's going to take a couple of weeks yet. I had external glue on my incisions so they would look different to yours at this stage. As soon as your active pm me and your welcome to view my trail. I have previous experience with major wounds as had 2 c-sections so I understand that scarring process xx

You should really be leaving them well alone, no salt water, nothing. The sweaty smell is fine, and white pus is healing. You really should keep them as dry as possible, even after a shower you can blow dry them on cool to keep the moisture out. If they're worrying you, see your clinic or local nurse, but I would stop touching them and let them heal on their own terms, it could be weeks yet.

Re: Scars after 11 days
Its not unusual for wounds to weep a little fluid until they scab & heal, glad the nurse has reassured you!
