Hot scars 2 days post op
Hiya, I was just wondering if its normal for my scars to be feeling quite hot compared to the rest of the boob area? I am 2 days post op, and everything went really well, and had about 3 doses of antibiotics in hospital!!
I havent got a temperature...

The area will be warm due to the increased blood flow to the area clotting annd healing, However if you feel at all unwell, fever etc it will be best to contact you emergency number from the hospital. Sounds like you are ok though hun, just make sure you are resting

Thanks misf1! I thought it was probably all that energy going towards clotting and healing up the scar. I will keep an eye on my temp though.

Ah the sunburn feeling and sore incisions were the worst part of recovery for me. Hope it eases off soon xx

Along with misf1's advice you might also keep an eye out for any redness too, don't remove the dressings whatever you do! But if your boobs do seem red and hot, then do as misf1 says lovely.
Its probably fine but its always best to know what to check for isn't it.... If you're still needing any reassurance in tomorrow don't hesitate in calling your clinic babe. You paid a whole lot of money for aftercare so if you are at all unsure do make use of it sweetheart. Xxx

Great, thanks cookie!
They feel warm, but I've had a look and they aren't at all red, so I will keep taking peeks at them! The scar area is not red at all around where I can see through the bandage either.
It is good to know what to check for! Thank dog again for this site!!
