Had my 10 weeks post op checkup yesterday
I went for a routine checkup (10 weeks post op) with my surgeon yesterday and it was lovely to see him, he's such a nice man!
He asked lots of questions about how I was feeling, and then examined my breasts and scars. Said everything was healing really well and he thought the shape and size perfect for me. He asked me if I'd have gone for a different size if I had to go for reop (he asks all his patients this) and I laughed and said id have gone a bit bigger! We discussed that for a bit, but I agree that anything bigger might not have sat right in my frame.
Then I asked all the questions I had written -
Can I go bra less at all? - he said yes absolutely, I can do whatever I used to do before surgery, I can treat my breasts as though I've not had any surgery, now that I'm at the 10 week mark and because I've healed so well and not feeling any aches or pains in day to day life.
Can I sleep bra less?? Again he said yes absolutely! I was really surprised but he said that I just listen to my body and if I wake up in morning feeling a bit swollen then put bra back on but I'm not going to do any damage or harm sleeping without bra.
Can I wear underwired bras, push up bras etc? He said yes, again the stage I'm now at, I can wear any type of bra as long as they feel comfortable, just listen to my body but essentially it's about treating my breasts as I did before the surgery. Exercise is all good too! He asked to see me again in 4 months time :-).
I'm so happy, can't wait to go bra shopping for pretty bras, but I must say that I won't be going crazy just yet, because my boobs are still so firm and have a lot of changes to go through, that I want to wait a few more weeks till I know what sort of bras are going to suit me best. At 4 weeks post op I was measuring E cup but I realise now that I still had swelling, and most of the 32E bras I bought at 5 weeks post op are now a little 'roomy' so I might need to get remeasured - could be that I'm actually DD cup now?? Maybe when the 'drop & fluff fairy' has visited I'll go back up to E cup?? Lol! Who knows, I'll just try not to go splurging again ;-).

Hey, that's great news, I would defo reccomended Boux Avenue for a splurge of luxury, and get re-measured too.
I wonder if everyone says they wishes they would of gone just a "bit" bigger! Lol
I do some days, not to be a bigger cup size, not pre for extra oomph in the cleavage area, but overall I'm happy.
I bet they will change again come 4 months time.
Happy spending!

Thats great news and really reassuring to hear its going so well!! I must admit I felt a little disheartened from all the threads I've read on here recommending ladies to sleep with bras on as I had visions of me prancing around the bedroom wearing some slinky, silky, lacy slip type number - so its great to hear you can go braless if you want. Free the boobies!! xx

Congrats!! I bet you walked out of there with the biggest smile on your face!!!
Your surgeon sounds like he had the same outlook on recovery as mine did - listen to your body, if it hurts don't do it lol.
Happy shopping! x

Thanks everyone!! Yes it does feel good to know I can get back to normal behaviour and underwear, it's been a long 10 weeks!! I still go through ups and downs thinking they are too small and then being happy with them again, and times when I have to stop thinking about them / over analysing. But I'm happy, and looking forward to splurging on nice undies!!

How exciting. My 'aim', once my are done and settled, is to march into Victoria Secrets and treat myself. I literally cannot wait for that moment!
