Changing from unders to overs
So, just a question really....if you can't have overs initially because there's not enough breast tissue etc, is it something you will be able to have second ba time around, as the tissue and skin has stretched?
I am happy, but I just don't have much cleavage, and when I try and move them about, they kinda don't move much, I can't squish em into a cleavage basically?
I know it's only 13 weeks, and maybe this will change, but can't help but feel my muscle is incredibly tight over these bad boys, and thinking maybe overs would of been more cleavage and voluptuous looking maybe?
I havent d&f yet either, but maybe after this occurs it will look better.)
Anyway, my Surgeon said I couldn't have overs, not that I cared really, I just went with his advice. But just looking at mine, and some others, I do wonder if next time around I would be eligible for overs. I'm an E cup so probably wouldn't want to go up too much more implant size, but just to have a bit more oomph would be nice.
Already planning ahead Lol!

Re: Changing from unders to overs
Firstly, you have a lot more change and movement to come, so don't worry yet. Mine were still so firm at that point, there was no chance of a cleavage until 5-6months.
It depends on why you had unders in the first place. If it's because you've no natural tissue to hide the implant, it's highly unlikely anything would have changed. If it was because a lot of stretching was needed, then possibly. It would obviously be something to discuss with a surgeon, but there are girls who have done this for various reasons. One of the main ones is muscle distortion. One of the old mods switched under to over successfully. Another thing to take from this is it makes ZERO difference in bra size, she had the same size implant and had the same results.
So yes, it might be possible, but you shouldn't be thinking about it until you're about a year post if you still can't squish them etc. More patience missy!

I'm 10 months and can never get a cleavage. Some people just have wide cleavage so implant size/ placement might not make a difference x

Re: Changing from unders to overs
Hey jen, are yours soft enough yet to squish together manually, ie with your hands if you try? Mine won't even do this yet.
I hope I can achieve a cleavage ...would be gutted if I couldn't, even with a good bra, they go into a cleavage at first but when I move, they come out of hat lovely cleavage position!
I have boobs, whoop...(just want more in the middle)

Re: Changing from unders to overs
I agree, there are still loads more changes to come! If you can create one in a bra but then you move its gone perhaps you're not in the right bra size? Definitely raise your concerns at your next check, I'm sure your surgeon will reassure you or give you a reason why it might be difficult. Perhaps you have a mega strong chest wall and it's taking a while for everything to stretch. That said, you're still early days. If you do decide to change to overs get lots of different opinions first (which I know you would!). There is so much variation between surgeons on whether overs are possible xx

Re: Changing from unders to overs
Yeah, mine can be squished together :) I'm sure if I spent a day bra shopping I could find one that would make them do it.....I just can't be bothered lol x

Re: Changing from unders to overs
Hey Twinky,
I know you posted this a while back but just wanted to put in my two cents haha!
Mine wouldn't push together with my hands properly for agessss, they felt very heavy and firm and I really struggled to find bra's that gave them that really pushed up together look.
I am now nearly 6 months on (nearly!) and noticed today they are SO much softer! I just tried ignoring them for a while, plus I've been on hol so not been so infatuated with them for a few weeks, and this morning I gave them a little feel and couldnt believe it! So squishy and jiggly, and the best part is knowing they are still only gonna get softer. Bearing in mind my implant type typically takes longer to soften, I reckon you will be well on your way before you know it. It's just about patience and ignoring them I guess!
Even now I havent found a push up bra that pushes them together, just pushes them up (wonderbra are amazing, plus Ann summers). To be honest, I am still quite paranoid about push up bra's anyway and try to only wear them for special occasions as I am worried about the implications of pushing the implant into an unnatural shape.
Anyway, enough rambling. Just wanted to say, it WILL happen so please dont worry about re-ops and positioning. You are still so early on in your journey :) xxx
