Hi ladies! Getting my new girls a week tomorrow and apart from the obvious of easy to put in clothing etc what else should I be taking for hospital? Also what creams oils can anyone recommend for scarring / stretching skin etc?

Electric toothbrush. Jiggling will hurt! Lip balm and lozenges too. As for moisturisers, any one will do for the breast, just stay away from the scar til the all clear. Then for that anything also, it's more a lubricant for massage!
Not long now, it'll fly by!

Thanks for the info! I would never have thought of brushing my teeth as being a problem lol! I'll get an electric toothbrush this weekend! Just got a load of stretchy vest tops as I thought they'd be easiest to get on & off etc! Can't believe it's a week today! Feels unreal!

Stretchy vest top, little dressing gown, toothbrush, lip balm, face wipes, deodrant, books/mags/headphones for boredom if you get delayed, mobile, charger, hair bobbles, slippers... that's about it :) I took loades and didnt end up using it, after the Op you are so spaced out/high as a kite you'll just want to chat to people or sleep!
You will have your own strict aftercare instructions reg the scar treatment. I was personally told to leave the scars taped up for 3 months and now I have started using THIS morning and night on the scar and whole breast as recommended by my surgeon. All the oils/treatments will do will make sure your skin is in the best possible, healthiest condition to heal and hydrate the scar. xxx

Exciting! Take plenty with you to kill boredom, especially when its night time and if you cannot sleep.
