Lovely chat with 'boob buddy' from clinic :-)

Hi ladies!

Just wanted to share a lovely experience I had yesterday. My surgeon offered to put me in touch with one of his patients so that I could speak to someone with similar stats to me! The surgeons secretary phoned me and gave me the patient's mobile number. I phoned her last night and she was so lovely. She's same height and weight as me, she had the surgery several weeks ago and told me everything about what to expect, tips about recovery, and just gave me lots of reassurance as have been feeling quite anxious the last few days! Has really put my mind at rest and I'm starting to look forward to it again :-)). The support on this forum is amazing too, wanted to send big hugs to you all again :-).

Omg what a wonderful idea, how thoughtful. I would of loved the lre surgery. I think we all get jitters before surgery, so must of been nice to chat to someone who uas just been through it all, plus the same stats as you too!

Thanks Twinky! Yes it was a really lovely thing for them to do for me. She's lovely and has offered to be there for me throughout the journey, I feel very lucky cos I'm a complete stress head at the best of times!! I have her words ringing round in my head "don't worry you are gonna love your new boobs!!).

Wow thats is such a lovely thing for them to do, I'm glad it helped you and put your mind at rest :) I'm feeling nervous and anxious too :/ only 2 weeks to go now! Xx

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] I know how you feel!! 14 days and counting!! I have been feeling sick to the stomach with anxiety about it but honestly feeling so much better now, excitement kicking in. You'll be fine! Do you know your admission time yet? Xxx

I've been feeling sick to the stomach too....im sooo scared and nervous, not only about the surgery but also after surgery, the after care, will i like them, will they be wonky lol etc etc think i need to try and be more positive! Xx
