Measuring for a bra after BA
Hey ladies I found this link today and thought I'd share. Might be helpful to those pre op ladies thinking about sizes and wondering why ladies with implants seem to measure bigger.... I think it's an American site so actual sizings may be different for UK ladies but it will still give an insight into it....

Re: Measuring for a bra after BA
Sorry Muddypaws...but this is SO wrong!!!
Let's start with "175 to 200 CCs is the equivalent of one cupsize". Wrong. It's entirely dependent on the woman, her existing tissue, her bwd, etc. I went AA to DD/E in 340, so that's about 56-68cc's per cup.
I clicked the link to the calculator, and put in my measurements (31/37"). It said 34C. Nope! When I do go for a 34, my sister size would be a D. No idea why they added 2".
The 'breast measurement' bit was odd...Mine measured 10". So if I went with the 32band, then the DD is right...but if I go to the 31" ribcage, it comes up the C, like the bra size. So technically wrong, if I were basing it on the site alone.
Sorry to pee all over this!! But it's a great example of why you can't trust these websites. There is never going to be an accurate way to predict your measurements, or how big an implant will take you, or even your size without a proper fitting. It's all down to your personal anatomy.

Re: Measuring for a bra after BA
No no, these things are fab for the girls to see, because it helps explain how and why we have such distorted views on breast size, and how there is just no way of guessing a post op size. I put myself through hell in the first few weeks post op putting my size into these online calculators, in floods of tears coming up with 36As. It's just as helpful to see why they're wrong, so they don't go through the same wobbles!

To be honest I didn't even look at the calculators, I kinda posted it for the bit about how breast implants don't always fit the cup of a bra and why, and the tips section at the end. I've never used a size calculator myself, I tend to just try and see what fits. Although I am looking forward to getting fitted professionally - see how far out I am with what I'm wearing now :-/
