Sleeping elevated Empty Sleeping elevated

So im 12 days post op, and sleep is getting better, in that I can get more comfy now as im not in as much pain and getting up is easier etc. However, this am, I was almost laid flat, as apposed to elevated. It was comfy but just wondered if from a medical point of view I should still sleep elevated?

Its not going to affect them 'dropping out the pockets' or something random if I lay with my 2 normal pillows and not the v pillow & a mountain of pillows that I have been having is it?
Waiting on a nurse to call me back as I called them about driving too....

But just wondered when u lot all slept with normal pillows and on your side again?

At my one week appointment, my nurse told me another week, then I can start laying flat again. But its different for all. The elevation isn't anything to do with the implants dropping, its more to help drain the swelling fluids, and keep the blood flow normal. So if you feel your swelling is back to normal, then you should be ok. Best to double check though with the clinic, as you've done.

I wouldn't get too excited just yet! Just because you're allowed to, doesn't mean your body is ready to. It might still hurt like a mutha*, because they're too new to move about to accommodate side sleeping. Your body will dictate for itself, and get itself in the most comfortable position.

Hey [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] i hope your feeling okay and healing well!
I still sleep with my V pillow at a month post op.. Only becuase if i sleep with my normal two pillow, in the middle of the night i wake up feeling heavy and uncomfortable.. SO i agree with what Charlii has said!

Just got to listen to your body, plus i prefer sleeping with my V pillow now, its become a comfort haha xxx

Hi, you will need to sleep according to your surgeons advice. Give them a call. Usually it's only to help with swelling but I was required to sleep on my back for 4 weeks xxx
