So many clinics!!!
Ok, so just phoned the umpteenth helping numerous for one of the many clinics out there...I'm so confused and have boobs on the brain, so much so I even dreamt about them last night!
Just wondering what people's opinions are or experiences with the very starting process...?
Personally I found Harley Medical very dismissive and unhelpful , they seemed to want me off the phone quick and to book an appointment to answer my questions. Fear with them is that they just want my money
Transform seemed very helpful, but again wanted me to book just to find out general questions
My breast were great, no pressure and I loved you saw an actual surgeon and at a very reasonable cost
And finally My hospital ..well what can I say, excellent customer service, no pressure and even advised I visit other clinics. Skeptical me thinks this might be just very good selling and that maybe once you sign up and give your money over its not quite as rosey....??
I will be booking to see the last three..think I've discounted Harley Medical totally. Can anyone tell me if my initial instincts are right ..? Am I over thinking what is a no obligation consultation?
Thanks in advance and sorry if all this has been answered elsewhere...that'll be a newbie fail

Re: So many clinics!!!
Your instincts are spot on with Harley Medical. And Transform are very hit and miss. My experience with them was awful, some snobby woman reading off the website, then asking when I wanted to book without even seeing a surgeon (Reading clinic). Others have had fab experiences with them.
I booked through THG, but did so in a very naive way. Had I had this place before booking, I'd have done more research, and had more consults. But I've had nothing but great care and service from them since.
Here, we reccommend at least 3 consults, including at least one BAAPS surgeon, to compare. But if you don't get on with them, keep going. Often you'll find 'the one' that you just click with. You might like a clinic but not the surgeon, so ask to see another. It's a minefield, but you'll get there!

Re: So many clinics!!!
I had such a bad experience with Harley Medical group.. i wouldnt trust them at all! They were all about the money and not about my feelings whatsoever!
I went with Transform and had brilliant service from them from the get go.. Everyone has different opinions and you should trust your own instincts!
Its stressful when your 'boobie researching' but it is worth the hassle and stress. You will find one that is perfect for you! Going to different consultations will only increase your knowledge! xxx

Re: So many clinics!!!
Hi, I decided that I wanted a BAAPS surgeon from the start, so it wasn't so hard for me. To be honest they all seemed good. Not commercial at all. But but at the end of the day you need to do what's right for you xxx

Re: So many clinics!!!
Ah thanks all!!
Was going to do exactly what has been suggested and visit a few surgeons, I do like the idea of seeing the surgeon from the first appointment so am leaning towards that at the moment. Glad youve agreed with my instincts about Harley Medical...and to think they were the first to spring to mind because of the name they hold...you live and learn I guess!!
Going to give Nuffield a ring tomorrow as their surgeons are BAAPS registered, which I agree is a huge thing to consider. After that I think I've hit all the local ones near me (apart from going direct to surgeons) so will finally time to start making some appointments and really get going in this minefield of information...GULP!

Re: So many clinics!!!
Hi, if you can go with a BAAPS surgeon I personally think it's best, but that's not to say other surgeons are not good. It's only from personal experience. Visit a commercial clinic and then a BAAPS surgeon so you can see the difference. It's always good to do at least 3 consultations though. Xx
