Ruptured Implant
Hi girls I'm new on here, I am 6 years post op & found a lump at the side of my right breast. My doctor sent me for an ultrasound scan & I have a ruptured implant! I contacted MYA & they said I'm out of my warranty of 5 years after care, They said they wouldn't even give me a discount towards getting removing & getting new implants. I thought the least they could do was to give me some sort of discount! That's loyalty to there customers for you!!! seems they only care about taking your money!

Re: Ruptured Implant
That's terrible, I'm so sorry hun. Have you read through word for word, to find a loophole at all?
Unfortunately they hold all the power (and expensive lawyers), so it'll be difficult to fight. I suggest start consulting immediately to get that removed and replaced. You'll need to pay for it, but maybe look into a private baaps surgeon for better aftercare.

Re: Ruptured Implant
Sorry to hear you have found yourself in this situation .
Your aftercare may have finished but implants themselves often have a longer warranty from the manufacturer ( it varies depending on make/type) you may find that when inquiring to have them removed & replaced that the surgeon could possibly get replacement implants for you direct from the manufacturer under their warranty if your implants meets the warranty criteria, so something for you to perhaps look into.
