Plank and sun beds post op
before I had my op I could do the plank for 3 mins and did do it twice daily. Now I know I can't exercise just yet and I am 2 weeks post op but does anyone know when I can risk trying the plank again even if it only for 10 seconds. Also been told can't use sun beds for 6 weeks but can I not use them if my boobies are well covered up so just my face arms and legs get it.
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Plank and sun beds post op
Plank is fine ones you're clear for exercise, but it'll take some time to work your arms up again.
As for sunbeds, no. UV light penetrates clothing! Your skin is stretched, new, and super sensitive, and will take nothing to get burnt. You have to absolutely slather them in spf30 all over for at least 6months, and scars mustn't be exposed for a year, or you risk pigmentation. You've just spent all this money on them, do you really want to risk them just for a sun bed? 6wks isn't really that long in the scheme of things.

I'm glad this question about the sun beds was asked, only this morning I was wondering if I could go on wearing a crop top, so I'm glad I haven't :-)

If looking to get some colour there are some fab gradual tanning lotions out there or fake tan lotions if looking for some instant colour & much better for you & your skin.

No sunbeds/sunbathing until 6months. Chest area must be completely covered. No exercise until the surgeon gives the all clear.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] The worst is when you end up choosing a bed and a speaker is dodgy or the phone wire doesn't work!! I was going twice a week in the run up to my holiday coz I don't really enjoy trying to sunbathe and now I go maybe once every 2 weeks. I only treat myself to it after the gym though! Hahaha oh no I burnt my tummy once, lesson learnt! Are you putting anything on it? Maybe something like aftersun? xx

You really do need to be patient. You need to wait to get the all clear for exercise and Sunbeds are a no no. Not against them at all but for new boobies you should advoid . Fake bake it!! Xx

Re: Plank and sun beds post op
Interesting chat on Sunbeds. I use them twice a year for about two sessions each time. The heat really helps with my joints after having a knee op, which I was actually advised to do by my knee specialist if you would believe! I've never used them since my BA in July of last year. I'm having a change of implants in September and I'd like to get a few sessions in before then. But I'd never jeopardise my lovely new boobs for the sake of heat or a tan. It's your own choice to use them I guess but please ladies, stay safe. Everything in moderation. Xx

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.], that's actually really interesting to read. As someone who's recently suffered an arthritic illness, and is guaranteed it in the future, obviously I know the cold makes it suffer more, but I didn't think it'd be uv... I'm seeing my rheum on the 19june, so I might ask then.

Re: Plank and sun beds post op
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] yeah it surprised me for sure, Charlie but it does work wonders. I don't think my knee surgeon would officially recommend Sunbeds, he hinted in a 'I didn't tell you to do that, ok?' kinda way. But living in Scotland with only approx 2 months of warm sun a year, my body would be happy for a little more uv treatment. :)

Re: Plank and sun beds post op
I don't know why anyone would want to use sunbeds anyway, they all end up looking like an old leather bag 10 years before everyone else, it's not a good look :( and especially for 4k boobs! :/
