7day check up and 1st shower
Hi ladies
Had my 7day check up today. Saw wounds for first time. Nurse said healing nicely and no bruising. Got to keep band on for another week . Tried the macom on and it wouldn't touch me .....but this is because I am so bloated. So I bought another size up while I was there. Can use the first one when my bloated trunk goes down. But need to wear bra and band together.
She has told me to use suppository now to get things moving as I am in more pain with the wind and constipation than the boobies.
I can shower daily now :yahoo:and dress my wounds.
She has also said no lifting for 6 weeks so I need to get another sick note for light duties only as my work involves heavy lifting.
Got to go back on 4th June unless any problems.
So at moment me a happy bunny or will be when I have been to loo.

That's great news. You may even find you struggle to lift heavy weight at 6 weeks. But best wait and see. Glad your healing well. Take some laxative that should make you feel good. Suppository don't really get rid of what's in the colon. But by all means try them . Drink plenty of water and eat helthy xxx

Hi anne I have taken laxative every night and walked 2 mile twice a day and been drinking loads. Nurse says it is more trapped wind from the Meds and GA ...
But I will carry on with laxative at night as well. Just so uncomfortable with it.

Ooh a shower!! I'm so jealous!!
Great to hear that you are healing well. I can imagine you're fed up having to wear the band for another week but needs must!
Try dulcolax. You take 1 or 2 tablets at bedtime. I always opt for 2 if needed. You do get really griping tummy ache with it but it leaves nothing behind! Sorry!!

You might want to try Lactulose you can buy it over the counter at the chemist, a couple of spoonfuls is usually all that's needed to do the trick & get things moving.
Glad everything is going well with your healing, enjoy your shower!
