How long until you could wash your hair?
Would love to know your time scales for having a comfortable time washing hair, assisted or unassisted too...is it worth me doing my roots before surgery?
I have long hair and it is white blonde...I like to rock the dark roots so I am not wrecking my hair too often but I don't want humongous roots if you know what I mean!
Thanks girls xox

Re: How long until you could wash your hair?
The first week I went to the local hairdressers for a shampoo. Explained the situ and they were more than happy to help. Wk2 I was allowed to shower again. It was a struggle on the first day, and there was bending and contorting involved, but I did it (out of sheer bl00dy mindedness coz I was sick of being so dependant on hubs!) as I stretched out more it got a lot easier. So really you're only out of action for a week.

Depends on what method they use to close your incisions but I showered and washed hair daily on my own from day 3 post op. Best xheck with surgeon!

Re: How long until you could wash your hair?
I had my colour done the week before so that was sorted and can't shower for a week but washed my own hair over the bath on Sunday and have done every day since as I bloody hate dry shampoo. I used it on Saturday but by Sunday I was determined!
I was a bit concerned reaching up and actually taking the shower head down from the attached position above as that's the highest I had reached but once it was down you don't have to raise your arms that high when you're washing it over the bath as you lower your head down too.
I can't wait to be able to have a shower!! Xx
