pill!!
I'm really worried I mite have cc again!!last September I had a capsulectomy on my left boob to fix my cc. I was told to stop my pill 2 weeks before so I did and up until last mths my boobs have been great, really soft and no probs at all. I started taking my pill last mth and now my left boob is stating to feel abnormal again!. I did however strain myself at work by lifting a client maybe I've just pulled a muscle?? But unsure if a pulled muscle can make the implant feel firmer?? Please help I'm really at my Witt's end and thinking of having them removed altogether don't think I cud afford another surgery even though I wud have to pay to have them removed

Re: pill!!
Lifting patients? I'm a nurse and I would not do that. Even though some do. You only get one body, don't ruin it for someone else . Maybe you have pulled a muscle! They will go harder if you strain yourself. I can understand you panicking though as you have been through it once. Keep us updated. Hope your ok xxx

Re: pill!!
I hope my post didn't come across as rude, it's just I know what that line of work is like. You want to try and help and sometimes we do it for quickness or because you are the only one there, but think of your boobs. They won't replace them for you. I know if I overdo things my boobs go a lot firmer. I haven't been in your situation with cc though . Xxxx

Re: pill!!
Think it could be a mixture of re starting the pill ( hormones etc) & straining yourself at work. I would wait to let your body recovery from the strain incident , get used to the hormonal changes from the pill then see how you are before worrying, though easier said than done especially having had a previous complication.
Hope everything turns out for the best for you!

Re: pill!!
I agree with mirren. I definitely don't think there have been any links between the pill and cc and can'tthink of a plausible reason why the 2 could be connected but the hormonal changes can definitely cause breast changes and in some women they have monthyl painful boobs regardless. That coupled with the strain I'm sure will be the reason. You must be anxious though so if it sticks around with no signs of improvement get yourself some reassurance!

Re: pill!!
Hey Natty. I know its scary, especially with you having gone through it before, but I agree with the girls, it sounds like you've done yourself a mischief. There's no link between the pill and CC, some surgeons ask you to come off it for the surgery because its a blood thinner (others don't because its a relatively short surgery). The only correlation I can think of is that your body is getting used to the hormones again, and your breasts would fluctuate with that regardless of implants.
I also think you've got a muscle strain. I would cause it to go hard, because the body's natural defence would be to surround the area with fluid to protect it, plus the muscle could be in spasm. I would get yourself back in your sports bra 24/7 for a week or two, and see if your symptoms go down. If they do, hurrah, if they don't, book in to see your surgeon for their opinion.

Re: pill!!
Has anyone had problems with BA and the pill? Or noticed changes once you take it again? I thought they only ask you to stop it for DVT risk around surgery time? I would be interested to know if it has any other effects or if its just hormones and normal boob soreness around period time etc. Thanks!
