Lift with implants
Hi Guys .
My question is that if you have droopy breasts and need an uplift do you need a bigger implant size than someone who is pert and just want to be bigger .
I decided to go with a 240cc unders but now thinking I may need a bigger implant to really give me a full upper pole.
I'm a 34b or sometimes a 32d .
Anyone have any thoughts ?
Would be very grateful , confused
Best

Re: Lift with implants
Hi Zoe
I am looking at an uplift with 240cc unders too. I really stressed to the surgeon that upper pole fullness was my main priority and took photos in to show him what I wanted to achieve. I think (but I could be wrong) the position / placement and the uplift should give you what you want as long as your surgeon has confirmed it all with you. I think the size in terms of 'cc' is more to do with the individual and what you already have in terms of breast tissue. Have you been doing the rice bags in the bra experiment? I am torn between 220 and 240 at the moment....!

Re: Lift with implants
Hi Skates ,
I have tried rice bags of 210 and 240 but now think I might make up a 260 ! The breasts I seem to like the look off have generally had bigger implants with uplift or they are young women with just implants . I think another consultation may be in order . I guess the smaller they are the less they'll drop which is a positive . I'm having my surgery on the 5th of June so a little while to wait .
When are yours due ? :) z

Re: Lift with implants
Its tricky isnt it, I keep being totally sure on the 220 then thinking about it some more and deciding on the 240's! Hopefully 16th May if not sooner, waiting for the clinic to advise if any availability in the one nearer to where I live. I guess also it depends on what you wear, and how much you want to show them off - I don't really want anyone to know I've had them done just that they look great so dont want to go too big really. Decisions decisions!

Re: Lift with implants
It also depends on the elasticity of your current skin and the kind of uplift you are having. Lots of surgeons are reluctant to use too big an implant in a one stage procedure because of the potential strain put on the vertical scar plus I believe nipple necrosis is a risk. It's so hard to say generally because the advice will be specific to your anatomy.

Re: Lift with implants
I'm having an uplift with 410cc but originally I was having 350cc. I'm currently 32c (ish) but my surgeon said
I'd lose half a cup or a full cup size with the uplift because of all the skin etc being cut away

Emma71 - I see you had your surgery in October, how are you doing now? Are you all healed up? Happy with the results? Did you do a picture trail?

Re: Lift with implants
Mines a bit different ghosh yours probably, my lift was to correct a breast deformity, tubular or constricted breast, not because I had big dropped boobs. I was limited on size by my narrow bwd and intenalstic skin. I also had a re op because my most constricted breast didn't release over the implant and my old crease remained. However now I'm wearing a 32e and it seems touch wood that things are finally sorting themselves out. However I will admit if I had the choice I would have gone bigger. Anyway happy to share pics just need to update them from where they are post revision xx
