moisturising lotion/bio oil?
Hi girls,
I'm just wondering, did anyone apply moisturising lotion or bio oil or anything to their breasts in the weeks leading up to their ba? Not sure where I've got this from, I guess I'm just thinking it might make the skin more supple?
And how soon did post op girls start to use bio oil after their ba?
Bit of a random qn I know! xx

Hiya Sam
I'm going to start using palmers cocoa butter 2 weeks before my op. It's supposed to help with the elasticity of your skin once you've had the implants. X

Well I didn't and I don't have any stretch marks but I've been lucky through yo yo dieting and pregnancy I've managed to get away without any.
However, using either of the products you mention ain't gonna hurt so I'd go for it!

I always use the palmers coco butter everywhere when i get out the shower anyway but i made sure i moisturised the boobs good and proper a few weeks before the op, cant do any harm and like you say it will make the skin soft and supple. Nothin to loose hun, xxxx

Re: moisturising lotion/bio oil?
Hi,
I used Nivea moisturiser for dry skin (it had almond oil in it) for about 3 weeks pre op and touch wood, am ok and haven't had any stretchmarks.
I've been using an Avon body makeover moisturiser since 6 weeks post op which is specially for stretchmarks.
I'm going to get some of the Palmer's Cocoa Butter that is made especially for scars from Superdrug and use that from now on though for my incisions.
Hope this helps,
Marie

Re: moisturising lotion/bio oil?
I always use Palmers as my regular moisturiser, but recently my boobs have had extra special attention.
Unfortunately my OH caught me doing it once and now keeps offering to give me hand to rub it in

Thanks girls, thats great advice. I don't usually use a body moisturiser so I'm a bit worried. Definitely gonna get me some of that palmers cocoa butter stuff :).
