Cyst 12 days before BA

I don't belive it, I've got a cyst in my left boob 12 days before my BA! I know that's what it is as I had a load in the same boob last year, it's so sore and my boob is swollen under my nipple.

I so hope it clears up quickly.

Does anyone know if they will still do the op if I still have it when it's time for my BA?

Oh thanks Zum, feel really down about it, fingers and toes crossed it goes reall quick but it took months last time.

I've been googling it and the general thought is that it shouldn't affect my BA, but it all seems to be on American websites :-/

Tell your surgeon . My surgeon was aware I had lots please don't worry your op will be fine with cysts. Most women have them. Mine get worse when I'm due on xx

Thank heavens I found this group, I can't imagine how I'd feel at this stage if it wasn't for all the support and advice everyone has given, I think I'd have been a mess, or probably chickened out by now will all the what ifs and daft questions that run around constantly in my brain lol.

To be on the safe side I would give them a call in advance of op day as they may want to check that it is a cyst before hand, this would give you time for them to do it, wouldn't want it to delay your surgery. XXX

Ohh that's positive then! I agree with ringing and letting them now but it's good it hasn't effected other BAs :)

I've just had a thought.... I started back on the pill on Friday... .. I wonder if that's what's causing my sore swollen boob as aposed to a returned cyst?

I'm not sure if I'm honest Anne, one minute I think I can and the next not, but it is mega sore like last time. I will give it a couple of days and see how it is, fingers and toes crossed it sorts it's self out x

Sounds like it's hormones which is good news! I didn't ovulate for years either. Clomid didn't work so I gave up and then randomly a few years later fell pregnant unexpectedly, revealed during a fertility appt! So don't give up hope! After no1 it kick started me and I started have periods roughly 3 monthly, so much so that no2 was a 'surprise' in the midst of wedding planning! Good luck hun x

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] If I'm honest I haven't, I'm just praying it's gone before, it's got 9 days so fingers crossed for me! I'm positive it's just a cyst and combined with just starting back in the pill it's more sore than normal - Sod's law! Rolling Eyes

So, I woke up at 5am with my boob more painfull, the lump (or lumps) feels about 4cm right under my nipple and has caused my boob to swell..... So sore.

Went online and made an appointment to see my GP at 9am this morning, I shouldbe having my pre-op with nuffield Saturday morning so I will inform them of the outcome.

You just know this is going horribly wrong, I don't think it's anything nasty but I know they will want to do an ultrasound like last time, which will take weeks.... And I've only got 8 days now till the op.

I just can't cancel my BA, everything is set and ready to go, I'm mentally prepared, it's taken a lot to organise with my work and my other half working away. I could cry :-(

Fingers crossed everything goes ahead please ladies...

Good luck Hun and let us know how you get on. Such rubbish timing but if the worse comes to the worse your health has to come first. I'm keeping everything crossed for you! And I can't imagine how frustrated you must be as you're only 8 days away but health has to be first and formost.
