I am 2 days post op and wearing a macom in medium and alternating it with a 34e shock absorber I was ok yesterday and day of op but today the macom feels soooo tight and shock absorber needs extenders as left marks on my back just wandered if I will danage implants if too tight the macom isn't tight on incisions just over boobs thanks for any help. I have 3 sports bras m and s and George but don't think they will be big enough as smaller than shock absorber x

Hi I've had this problem too especially round my incisions. I was recommended  a sport jock d3 in my other post as it's a little longer than normal so not as tight on incisions. I've changed my bra a couple of times today from macom, which is most comfy but needed washed, to reno life with extenders. I tried my marks and Spencer sports bra and it felt very supportive on my boobs but too tight and high on incisions!
I do have some of the stretchy seam free ones but feel it's a bit soon for those xx

I didn't get any antibiotics just one dose into my canula before my op. I wish I had them to make sure!
I've been taking all my medicine as normal as I'm scared it will be bad if I don't!
I'm not in pain if I'm still but moving around my lefties especially round incision has been so today. I've also had tingling on that one.
I've only got a smallish area that's numb so I've been lucky x

The macom accommodates your boobs. It's ok to leave marks. It should feel snug not over tight. I could not wear the shock absorber early PO as it was too tight with the swelling. The macom was ok though. The swelling will be at its worst from day 3. It will soon settle down. There is lots of healing to be done inside your boobs. You are only 2 days PO so still very early on. Hope you feel better soon xx

I don't even find a shock absorbed comfy now and I find it difficult to get on/off so definitely would nt have got on with it post op. Hopefully you can just wear your macom for a while. Your swelling will start reducing soon, be sure to sleep with shoulders above your heart!

If it's just red marks, that's fine. Post op you'll find that as youre fitted into a bra it'll feel a lot tighter than you're used to. Your band should be tight, straight, and you should fit 2fingers in it. If it pulls too far out, or has no give at all, it's too loose/tight. Your boobs should feel stable and we'll held. You'll know if it's too tight, you'll feel the pressure on the implants. It can feel like it's chaffing because you're skin is dry due to 24/7 bra, use some cotton wool or socks to pad out.

It's feeling better today I've but bra extender on back of shock absorber and had helped a lot the band is very tight but thinking it should be to keep implants down. I slept in macom last night and was ok I've got some softer sports bras might try one of those with extenders I was told by PC to get 34dd so that's what I've mainly bought I'm sure when swelling goes down they will fit great and I'll have less problems. Husbands still in shock as helped change my bra this morning and even said wow they are big so I'm pleased he is so tired running after all the kids bless him he will need a break when I'm better x

Hi everyone.

Glad I've seen this as I was thinking the same. I feel like a stuffed turkey in my sports bra but I suppose I need the support. I too only had one shot of antibiotics in my canular so I took my temperature last night and it was fine. I'll take it again today just to make sure things are still ticking along nicely.

I kind of wish I had the antibiotics just to make sure. Never mind. I'm sure ill be fine. But yes I totally agree about the bra!!! I hate them at the best of times but 6 weeks 247. Urgh!!!! It's for a good cause though. I don't want to undo the Surgeons work by not doing as I'm told.
