How tight??
Hia girls, Just a quick questions, how tight or fitted should the sports bra be, as mine seem to be quite tight around the band, in reagrds to the straps i have them on the tightest they will go for more support, with the band its on the loosest clip but im always playing with it as it irratates my incisions. Im not sure if im wearing them correct, i had one on yesterday and nurse moved the straps up to the tightest.

Re: How tight??
Hey hun
I'd make it so you're supported but I had to go up a band size and down a cup size in mine to feel good - I'm a 36DD but wore a 38D sportsbra and it was perfect.
you may want to try one band-size up? xxx

Re: How tight??
hi hun, should be fairly tight, and you should be able to fasten it on the tightest one..... the nurse told me mine was too loose and thats why it was rubbing the incisions.... i went from a 36 to a 34 band and didn't get a problem after that xxx

Re: How tight??
Hey Vicci how you doing huni? I'm wearing my 34 band that I normally wear, it sometimes did feel like it was iritating my incisions. If you have any spare dressings that can sometimes pad it out a little so its not rubbing so much.

Re: How tight??
OOh this is an interesting thread as I've been trying on my sports bras this evening... urghhh... quite funny with my empty things in them!!!
I've got 5 different sports bras now... 2 from asda in 36e and 36f (they had no 38s) then 2 shock absorbers in pink 38e, 38f, then a lonsdale in 38e- this is quite loose on the band but obviously maybe needed due to swelling?! I plan on taking back the ones that aren't needed!!!
The pink shock absorbers come from ebay- total bargain- link below!!!

Re: How tight??
I was wearing a 34DD or 36DD sports bra! I'm now measuring at 32FF but I think it's because the sports bras fit so much differently!
I found that in sports bra the outer material was stretched to its limits but the inner material that is in contact with the boobies seemed to ruffle over as if there was extra room!! Either way I like my sports bras tight and still wear them when I'm in bed or doing anything physically active (which equates to the majority of the time :S)!! I think I'm just dreading them not being supported and waking up one day to find my boobies have already got out of bed :S

Re: How tight??
You are wearing a band size too big, especially if it is your straps taking all the weight and giving you all the support. The band is what should give you all the support and an ill fitting band will cause your band to move about and irritate the incisions. To get the correct band size, measure under your bust around your ribs and whatever size you come up with go to the nearest even number and thats the band size, so for example if you measure 31 inches your band size will be 32, if you measure an even number, you should wear that size or the next size up.
Also if you go down a band size, you need to go up a cup size

Re: How tight??
the 34 im wearing now is tight i dont think i could go down to 32 although i know thats the size i should be wearing, I now im being supported with the sportsbra im wearing now.
Barbiecon- I was a 32c quite empty though, i got measured the other day but bearing in mind at that point was only 7 days po and it was 30FF.

I get very confused on band and cup sizes! I have yet to be measured but i measured myself last night and am measuring 28 inches under and 36 over. What does this make me? Currently wearing a 32 E, but no idea if it is correct! lol.
