Evening beauties...

So, I hear that Bravissimo is the place to go to get a wonderful fitting sesh. I'm not gonna be able to get to one anytime soon in the near future.

Where is the next best place to go??

I've got my 6week appt with the surgeon on 5th March- was also told when I had my stitches out that I can wear underwired bra's after 6weeks too. So I want to get fitted properly after the upcoming appt.

I've always worn 34 a/b, measured my band and I'm 31 and bust size 37. I bought some nice underwired bras before my surgery in a 34c as I was excited, I tried one on today and although the band is big - had to wear it on the last hooks- my boobs filled out the cup but there was a lot of boobage outside the cup!!

Thanks girlies

Hmm sounds like you'll be nearer a 32E! - Ekkk how exciting!
I think John Lewis is suppose to be good.. Not sure if any of the other department stores are better though.

Such exciting times. Let us know how you get on :) xx

Thanks hun!

I'll give John Lewis a shot then, I've heard m&s isn't that good for fittings??

I'm gonna have a re-size tomorrow, definitely s band size 32 but I'm gonna redo my bust again, just incase. There's no way I'm gonna be an e cup I think, I don't look like an e cup at all, maybe d at the most! I'm 5'6 and 9st 8, had 330 unders so I doubt that's gonna get me to an e!

Can't wait for them to drop a bit more and look and feel normal!

Not long for you now though ay hun!!!

Im an E and mine don't look huge :) you could be easily.
Marks are good if u don't let them add loads of inches to your band measurement. Im a 27, they wanted to add 5 to take me to 32. Bravissimo fitted me at a 30 so I told them I knew I was a 30 band already.
Once we got past that the fitting lady was great :)

That's because our perception is way off Raisen! Bet you can't wait to get fitted! Any independent lingerie shops will be very good too!

I really enjoyed my fitting at boux avenue and they have some gorgeous bras. I started wearing wires again just 2-3 weeks ago and I can't stop going in there!! Xx

I still find it hard to believe I'm a 32E, but I measure the same! Avoid m+s if you can. Boux Avenue are good, they deal with BAs a lot, that's where I had my first fitting post op. John Lewis and Debenham for dept stores. Or try googling an independent lingerie store near you.

Before you go, have a look on the websites too, boux bravissimo and figleaves, for the fitting advice, so you'll know the points to look for and how it should look on.

6wk is quite early for wires, so you might find you can't throw yourself into it, you might need to ease them in a couple hrs at a time. Also, don't go mad, there's still changes to come. It may be that while they're new and high and tight, a DD fits better, then you sink into an E once they fluff, or however you fit.

I never did end up getting measured. Had a lot going on. I must do it although I'm in a 34E bra and it seems to fit. The band is snug and my cups feelok xx

I'd give them an 8,9/10. They know what they're doing, but they still pull out a measuring tape. But they have a great selection, are attentive, and have intercoms in the fitting rooms to call for help! Worth it if bravissimo isn't on your doorstep

Hello girls, thanks to everyone for your replies and thoughts, much appreciated!!

Maybe my perception of sizes are a bit off, but I just can't see them being that size if you know what I mean! They are starting to soften ever so slightly but yes I'm hoping they do drop and fluff out a but more as I expected them to look a bit different to how they do now!!

And I'm definitely not throwing myself into underwired after 6weeks- sports bras are sooo comfy. I will just get a couple of 'normal' bras to wear until they are in their final place.

I'm gonna search to see what's near me now. Anne is boux avenue in Rochester hun??

Thanks again my lovelies x x x

There are Boux's all over, have a look on the site store locator. BlueWater might be your nearest.

Everyone's perception of size is different, but the fitting never lies! Like I said above, I still don't think mine are that big, but hubs insists they're huge!

I wished I still lived in London Charlii, everything is in London! Moved down to kent and not a lot round here!

My sister-in-law works in bluewater so could go there and meet her for lunch and get a fitting in!

See when I measured mine and said to my partner I think I'm a bleedin 32dd, he said no way are you that big, you can't be!! But he still thinks they look odd at the minute and he says he can't take them seriously hahaaa. MEN, who needs them eh!!
