Re: When and where to get fitted??
I see you're in Liverpool hun, so when you get the all clear from your surgeon to wear padded/wired bras which could be anything from straight after your surgery to about 12 weeks post-op! LOL it all depends on your surgeon hun, some don't like their patient to wear one at all, they may think the breast is dropped enough and doesn't require the support, others think 6 weeks support to allow the breast to heal and give it some support till the internal healing is done and others prefer to have their patients in support bras for 12 weeks, all is tailored to YOU so listen to your surgeon and follow his instruction for YOU babe.
When you're ready, there's a Bravissimo in town, it's probably the very best place to go for your first fitting, you can call ahead and make an appointment for your fitting and they'll look after you there and ensure you're fitting get you the correct size for you new boobs.
Other shops you might like to try are any 'specialist lingerie shops' you know of and then there are the department stores loke Debenhams and Marks and Spencers. xx

Re: When and where to get fitted??
Thanx hun. I've heard loads of different period of time surgeons want u to wait. It odd how much post op instructions differ. But obviously I will follow my own ps advise. I hope I'm one of those who gets the go ahead soon after :). Though I have heard that undersides can dig in an be a bit painful. It seems weird that any1 wud wanna wear a padded bra after getting big boobs but we all like the extra help I suppose hehe.
I've never had a proper fitting before but will defo need 1 after my op but I'll give it a lil while so I don't end up buying nice bras then few weeks den the line the size changes an they don't fit properly.
Ooh yeah the bravissimo in town is gorg I walk past enviously. Not long till I can happily strut on in there yay. Thanx for the info hun. Good to know there's no definate time period for every1 and there lotsa nice places to get my new boobies measured an dressed all sexy :)) xxx

Hi i agree with cookie Bravmissio are the best place for a first time fitting.I find M&S good too and they have some lovely bra and knicer sets.Im not too keen on la senza as i don't think they are too acccurate and i find some of their bras uncomfortable x

Re: When and where to get fitted??
I went to Bravissimo at 4 weeks post op, it was the onlt time I could get there. I only got fitted into soft cup bras. I found it a very good experience. I started wearing wired bras when my nurse gave me the go ahead at about 6 weeks. I found wires very uncomfortable and had to get myself used to wearing them by trying an hour a day and building up from there.
Re: When and where to get fitted??
Thank you misf1, loads of people seem to go to bravissimo. Guess that's cos it does really great big bras. I'm defo going there. Seems odd to think the 1st time I'll have a proper fitting in my life is when Ill have implants. Xxx
