Bra on incisions painful
My post op bras sit right on my incision dressings . They really hurt and are itchy at times . Does any of this matter ? Also my boobs feel hot -maybe warm to touch

Re: Bra on incisions painful
Mine felt warm for a longtime, sometimes even now they still do, but try putting a pantyliner or cotton pads (sticky side up!) along the band of your bra to add a bit of padding above your incision xx

Re: Bra on incisions painful
The warm feeling you are getting is from your body trying to repair itself after everything it had been through.
If the incision is weeping etc then it would be a different story.
Is the bra too tight? Could you try a different style that doesn't go so low over the incisions? Either that or panty liners stuck to the bra and not your skin may give you come comfort as mentioned above xx

The girls have said it all! Hot and itchy means healing, just use some ice packs and antihistamines (they don't have to be Puriton, you can get cetirizine or loratadine over the counter for about a quid, it's the same ingredients). And yep, pantyliner over the incisions, though it could be you're too tight, I think you said this the other day too. What are you wearing (in a non creepy way!)? Do you have extenders on a backfastener?

Maybe you nee to change the type of bra you're in. What did you get in the end? It's not always one size fits all really, the zip front m&s one that the girls love on here I hated, it was too short for me. Same as I love the macom and others can't stand it. Maybe you need a different bra altogether?

I have a renolife and the Marks and Sparks twin pack sports bras . Sometimes in my right boob I can feel a buzzing feeling !!! Will see the nurse soon hope she thinks they are dropping properly as they are so high so much so the implant feels like it's protruding

Is your band on tight enough? You may have quite tight muscles which could slow down the dropping x

Re: Bra on incisions painful
Ahh you're right! It might not be too tight at all, it could be too loose, so it's riding up and hitting the incisions. I know it'll feel weird, but maybe lose one of the extenders and do yourself up tighter. The band should sit straight around your ribs, not pulling upwards anywhere

Re: Bra on incisions painful
Seen the nurse , she says I have loads of swelling between my boobs , she was almost smiling and said oh dear you've a lot of swelling . But nothing to worry about . Took the little bandages off now too said cuts look good and are really tiny . Put my mind at rest a bit anyway . As for the pain she says normal due to swelling Etc

Glad you have been reassured after your nurse appointment, your swelling is probably at its max & can only get less/ better from now on in! XXX

So glad the nurse has put your mind at ease. Did she say anything about how tight/loose your bra was? X

Just don't soak your insicions . And make sure they are dried thoroughly. With a hairdryer on a cool setting. Xxxx
