FINALLY - The Letter Has Arrived!

So after many a phone call and about to cancel the whole operation because of the incompetence of a receptionist, I finally spoke to the right person (got her direct number and email address now!!) and today I have received my letter! - the receptionist could not get it in her head I had already changed my pre op apt times, but still needed to letter that I hadn't received because of all the other info included.. she told me she would have it resent, so 3 days later I rang to ask if it had been resent and she said no! - Thank god I chased it because payment is due on Tuesday and I leave for France on Monday - EKKK!
Anyway I have now been told not to call that number and speak to that receptionist at all, to contact her and her only (she is my pre op nurse) and because I threatened to cancel she told me that after surgery I will be given the ward phone number, and they have Mr Foo's mobile number if I want to talk to him too... finally feel like I'm getting through to them!

I'm at work but just had a quick glance at my letter:

Firstly it's only £4316 which amazes me for a BAAPS Surgeon such a beautiful clinic quids in! (I knew it was going to be between £4-5k but expected nearer 5.
They give you Molton Brown toiletries in your room.. mmmm!
My partner can have meals with me - included in the price - bonus!

I had so many little questions I wanted answered and it's all here!

The quote I got was FROM £4316, I didn't expect it to be on the nose, and the clinic is only 12 miles away xx

I'm doing great now thanks, got to 2.5 weeks and pain went. Feeling more normal and doing more each day. X

Yes I do. I'll pm you. Your similar stats to me I think. What size are you now? I was a 34a quite empty from breastfeeding both kids a year each and then running a lot. X

That's what I got "measured" at. I think some of my old bras were a 32b but I mainly wore a 34a.

I think because they deal with this every day, they don't realise how important it is to us! To them, its just another letter, to us its everything we've been dreaming about/saving for/thinking about for a very long time.
Im glad u finally got through to someone that understands. I didn't even receive my letter til 4 days before with payment details and everything and I was meant to pay up a week before. Kept calling but nobody ever seemed to answer any phones.
That is a great price!

Jen I'm so glad you went through the same thing, I thought I was the only one. And thought perhaps the clinic would end of being pants... What goes through your mind when one person messes something up ay!
Even though your letter was late, was your experience of the clinic thoughouy surgery / aftercare good? Xx

They were great Sarah. The care I received was second to none.
Seems it was just the admin staff at the general clinic part of the hospital. They were so badly organised that it did make me slightly concernedabout my stay though.
They just don't seem to realise, or care that its a big deal to the patient x

Thank you for letting me know. I bet surgeons would be so annoyed if they knew.. I spoke to the pre op nurse about it and hopefully she'll do/say something so it doesn't happen to anyone else. :) xx
