Has anyone haggled on price with a BMI hispital?
I'm looking at BMI The Park Hospital, Nottingham but they are quoting £4700. Has anyone managed to get any kind of discount at a BMI Hosp, and if so, what did you do/say to them to get it?!
Thanks!
Thanks!

Hi I went with bmi. The surgeon is an independent so the price is broken down. Surgeon fees, anethiatist fees hospital fees. I paid 5600 for bmi south East London. No discount although I never tried. Xx

I doubt they'll budge on hospital fees, that's usually a set price. You could ask to see if there is any scope to reduce your surgeon fees? but otherwise the price seems fair.

The commercial clinics will happily move on price. They're the most competitive in this business and will do what they need to get that sale.
BMI don't have to haggle. Their surgeons are excellent and for every women that chooses cost over surgeon, they've another choosing surgein over cost, so they simply don't need to haggle lovely. Their work and care for patients speaks for themselves. Xx

Like Cookie says, commercial clinics will fight for your money, so you can play them off against each other - 'I like your surgeon, but the other clinic is offering a lower price, what can you do'. If you say this to a private surgeon, they'll just say off you pop then. They charge what they do because their work is worth that price.

I'd be really worried about the quality of work I'd get if they were willing to negotiate...you're buying a surgical procedure not a car! My consultant gave me the price and that was it...I was also impressed that I went for the initial consult and then not once did anyone call saying "can we get you booked in"....in fact it was over a year between my initial consult to the BA and I had no pressure at all from the receptionist to get it booked.

Mr McCulley is sounding positive at the moment but am also going to hopefully see some other surgeons too.
Anyone heard of Mr Tuabin Rasheed working in the East Midlands?
