Disappointed with size :/
Hello, just a little self indulgent moan from me!
I was COMPLETELY flat chested before, so I know that I'm in a much better position than I was before, but at 5.5 weeks post op (yes I know it's still early days), all swelling has gone and my boobs are definitely shrinking :( My side profile now actually looks smaller than when I wore 2 normal unpadded bras together. They are totally unnoticeable in clothes, my side boob has gone, and my gap inbetween my breasts just seems to be getting wider rather than closer together. I can't help thinking that I've spent all this money and I'm still going to have to wear padded bras to a) fill a top nicely and b) attempt any kind of cleavage. There's no way I can afford another one, and I just keep looking at ladies who are naturally much bigger than me, on a slimmer frame, with boobs that didn't cost them a penny, and actually have an ugly green monster in me rear it's head in jealousy :(
Since day 1 there's always been a niggle that they were much smaller than I had imagined, and certainly smaller than the sizers and rice sizers, but now that swelling has gone I can't help but feel totally gutted.
From the front they look relatively full, but from the side it's a complete sad face moment. 440cc shouldn't be small, but perhaps going on a total blank canvas I should have gone for more? My frame has completely swallowed them up.
I read all the time that people find themselves adjusting to the additional weight on their chest...I feel NOTHING. I actually forget they're there. I look down, and they look like boobs I would want to enlarge if they were natural boobs.
I was so looking forward to filling out dresses properly, but even now they still don't fit properly. My sports bras are all much loser now, and I have 4 different types.
I've booked a bra fitting appointment at Bravissimo for my 8 week date, but I am tempted to cancel as I actualy think they're too small to even shop there...and how embarrasing would that be!
Anyhoo....just had to get that off my rubbish excuse for a chest :(
xx

Re: Disappointed with size :/
I assure you 100% your boobs haven't shrunk.
Once the swelling starts subsiding this is a post we see time and time again here - fast forward 6 months and we get updates from women saying they don't know what they were thinking and they're very happy with the size of their boobs.
You just got used to all that full upper pole which fill out the Bob under the armpit. Now your boobs have started to change in shape, your brain 'thinks' they're getting smaller, they're not. What's happening is that the implant is now moving down from the upper pole they're forced into due to swelling and now they're allowed to take on their natural form and gravity gets a hold, the lower pole is taking up what the upper pole had!
I know...sounds weird. But I PROMISE it's true.
Call ahead, book your fitting appointment and then once you have that all clear the fitter will have lots of time to a) pick up your jaw Whalen you hear your resuming side and b) get you into some great bras that'll help enhance those new bad boys. If you'd like that full upper pole back, that's very easily done with a Balconette bra. X

Re: Disappointed with size :/
Sorry you feel like this Hun, firstly let me say keep your fitting appointment I can promise you, you will for into their bras!
Still at 5 and a half weeks they're no where near settled. They WILL soften and have a bit more movement.
I have a gappy cleavage and a wide gap, yes even with these 800s, (I'm pushing mine together with my inner arms in my avi!) I had 380ccs with my first ba and I had NOTHING I mean I looked like a young boy!
440 cc is a great size and you can't see their full potential just yet.
To add about the cleavage you can only achieve a great cleavage in a good bra. It's the bra that does all the work, shaping and moulding your boobs. X

ThanKS Cookie, I so hope you're right!
I started to drop very early...the nurse was even surprised at hoq quickly they were dropping, and at about 3 weeks my upper pole seemed to have gone down. It better not drop any lower as already I feel that it's too low to my armpits if that makes sense? They don't look very natural now that swelling has gone. The 6 month mark just seems so far away, and I think the difficuly is that at 1 month I made the decision to stop weekly pics and only take monthly pics as the changes were so minimal. But this does mean that I don't notice any change. Except of course that they just look too small for my frame.
What's the betting I'll be that one person who get smaller once fluffing. Is that even possible?? xx

Oh boobies, do I need to get the physics textbook out again?! It is impossible for them to shrink. 400cc of volume have been added, therefore you are 400cc bigger. And lucky you if they don't feel heavy! But seriously, I think use just got a bit of the boob greed for all the above reasons. You're almost out of your band (woo) and then it's just two more weeks til you're out of your bra. Really do give it time, 6m really, before you see anywhere near the final result. Get them in some lovely boosty bras!

Re: Disappointed with size :/
Thanks MrsB. How long did yours take to soften? Can you remember? Mine still have very minimal movement, even when I try and move them together they are going nowhere! (Well ok, slight exagerration, they do move slightly :) ). I suppose I thought they would have been much softer by now...you see all these videos on youtube with squishy boobs...they LIE haha!!.
I wish I hadn't have been so scared of big cc numbers! Oh the naiivety of being a booby virgin :/

Re: Disappointed with size :/
Even though mine softened they didn't have a huge range of movement and certainly not that mega squishy boob even now mine are pretty firm. I have litterly no breast tissue .
I'll be honest I definitely think it was around a year they'd completely settled and done all they could. Xx

You'll feel so different when you've got squishy soft wobbly boobs and you're in a normal bra! Definitely keep the appt at bravissimo....you'll be writing an excited post on this forum afterwards! But then after that they will really start to soften and mould so you can push up etc!

Re: Disappointed with size :/
Just to add at 5 weeks I certainly couldn't push mine together! Don't even attempt it. I wore a bra at 6 weeks, well for about half hour before I had to get back in my sports bra. They took months to break into a wired bra! Xx

Haha Charlii that first sentence put a smile on my face...I know what you say makes total sense, and is totally logical, and not even I could defy fact, but they're soooooo smaaaaalllllllll
We're very similar stats...did you go up sizes from post op to post fluffing? I've read that you spilled out your bras, but did you go up bra size, or just fill bras better, if that makes any kind of sense?!
I really didn't want to get boob greed...but I am desperate for a fluffing fairy to work some big boobie magic!
6 weeks on Saturday and then no more band! Then 2 more weeks after that and I get to wear a proper bra at last. I so so hope that makes a massive difference to how they look from the side!!
xx

Re: Disappointed with size :/
What types of bras would you recommend at 8 weeks? I don't think I'd manage with an underwire as not sure they bottom of my boobs will be the right shape, but will non wired be supportive enough, whilst giving them a decent shape?

A soft cup would be best to start however it's the wires that do most of the work.
Saying that the Freya deco has bought out a soft cup that's meant to mould them well x

Ok, I'll try and be patient until I get a bra on. God it's so hard though! You wait years and years to get boobs, and then the weeks after getting boobs feel like a lifetime!

Re: Disappointed with size :/
My first fitting was at about 8wks but I'd had an argument with my nurse over it! THG advice is 12, but surgeon said 8, so I went with him. Measured into a 32dd. Then yes, at 6m I went up to a 32e in the same bra. That's not to say everyone who fluffs will go up a cup, plus it's just the illusion of them being squishier and sitting right. I went straight into wires and was fine with them, but some need to ease in, so a soft cup might be better. Up to you really. And you will definitely be big enough for bravissimo. I still think mine are 'small', or just regular sized, but everyone else who's seen them thinks they're enormous!

Re: Disappointed with size :/
Sorry to hear you're disappointed, I posted a similar comment yesterday but I'm worried mine are too big for my frame. I'm only 12 days post op and all the lovely ladies on here told me the same thing - that patience is the key!! We won't know for ages yet what the true shape and size is so try to stay positive, believe me I know its hard, I've had a few tears the last couple of days but worrying doesn't change anything xx

Re: Disappointed with size :/
I couldn't push my boobs together at 6 weeks post op either.
They will get squishy and start looking fab. Mine are lovely and soft already and sure I still have some softening to come. They are still very slowly dropping, the changes aren't as noticeable now but they are still changing.
