Glue on incisions?
Hey ladies, I had my dressings off yesterday, I had anchor scar uplift with Implants and I'm 9 days post op, I couldn't look while I was in the clinic as it makes me feel funny lol so I had a close inspection when I got home, my incisions are very neat and look so much better than I expected, but I noticed they have used stitches and glue, didn't no they did this, does anybody know why they use both? Xxx

Hey.. I have disovable stitches then glue over the top.. Glue helps stop stuff going on or coming out so should help not get infections.. Well that's what I got from what my surgeon said and I watch a lot of botched up bodies lool xxx

Glue is sometimes used, again it's surgeons preference. Just be sure not to pick at it, it'll come off when it's ready to in the shower.

Glue seems to be getting popular now. It seems. I think it's a good thing. Xx

Re: Glue on incisions?
Gla you're happy with the incisions babe. The big reveal after an uplift can be a very scary time, but I'm glad you're feeling confident by what you're seeing.
Don't worry about the glue, it's just another helpful part of the dressings to help keep bacteria out. X

I am 8 days post op and had my reveal on Thurs. I was really scared but so relieved as the scars atm look pretty good. No glue for me though. Hope you continue to be happy with yours. x

Re: Glue on incisions?
Hi Rebecca how long did it take for the glue to come off as I wasn't expecting glue either my hysterectomy incision was all healed up by now (bruising took ages to go though) so today when I saw my boobs for the first time really wasn't expecting the puckering round the edges like there is xx
