3wk post op teeny bit of blood
Hi all,
Have been without internet since sat so been quiet, hope all are well!
Just a quick one I'm 3.2 weeks post op and just noticed on a nude coloured bra a bit of blood coming from the edge of the stitches. Its only a small amount, very small, but is that normal? Up until yesterday I had been wearing a black bra so wouldn't have noticed if it had happened before. I would have thought that all bleeding would have been finished by now?
The breast doesn't hurt so just not sure??
X

At 3weeks the inscions are still not closed, do you not have any dressing on them at all?
Also is it old browny /red blood? X

Does it look fresh, or ooky? Could it be you knocked a scab?

Re: 3wk post op teeny bit of blood
My dressings came off at 10 days, have had nothing on them since and other than today's blip they do look pretty good.
I can't quite tell as by the time I noticed it dried on the bra and the bra colour is making it tricky to know, but I'd say it was red. I haven't done anything strenuous that I can think off...except I did have to carry a sleeping 3 yr old up to bed last night after she fell asleep on the sofa (I'm a single parent)and did hear a little pop in that breast this morning but I put that down to trapped air. It did feel weird though! X

Oh I wonder if the change of bra rubbed it then perhaps and took a scab off? I'm going to check an old pic to see if there was a scab there...my incisions are very very clean he did a good job so they look much further on than I would have expected by now. Haven't really had much scabbing but I'm def going to check!
I guess my leftie was just feeling unloved with so much attention on the right one ha! X

If they're looking ok, I'm sure it's fine, just keep an eye out for any more fresh blood.

ah ok maybe it was the bra rubbing?
I had micropore tape on my incisions for ages after.
As I said at 3weeks you're incisions Re still not closed fully.

It's very normal to have a little 'oozing' from the incisions early post-op babe, I really wouldn't worry about Boobies2be. Xxx
