Giving Blood after BA? Empty Giving Blood after BA?

Post by Kt402 26th March 2014, 6:59 pm

Hi Ladies

Wonder if anyone can help. I have been a regular blood donor and had to miss my last session as it was just before my op.

I rebooked and my next donation is due to be next week, which will be about 12 weeks post op.

Does anyone know if this is OK? There's no information on the giving blood (NHS) website and I just wondered if anyone has any first hand experience??

Thank youuu xxx

Hmm, I don't know for sure but Id have thought it'd be ok by now. Your blood would be clear of any nasties, so it should be fine, its not like after getting a tattoo or something like that. I would just give your clinic a ring in the morning to be on the safe side though.

I would give your clinic a ring and also check with the blood donor clinic too. I know its a certain amount of time but not sure how long it is x
