Risk of infection
is there a point when you sort of move into a 'safety zone' when risk of infection is minimal post op?
I'm not concerned of infection, just wondering really if say, when incisions have healed, youre chance of infection is slim?

Re: Risk of infection
As far as incisions go, yes, once they're fully healed the risk of infection there is gone but you're still at risk of infection if lets say.....the implant for instance was contaminated when it was placed in the body. You may not see any infection straight away, but it could happen weeks, maybe months after.
im four years in with these implants babe. I have CC and a seroma and I'm at risk of infection now. I've been told if I see any red patches appear in the Breast im to go straight to A&E to get the implant out...so yes, infection can occur at any time after having implants, the risk is so low though I wouldn't let it play on your mind. Re: Risk of infection
I think the main infection prevention measures you can take are before and during the op, and then whilst your incisions heal. After they are healed an infection could occur if something had previously been introduced, but I think by that point there is little you could have done anyway .
