Ice Packs Empty Ice Packs

Post by Boobies2be 6th December 2014, 12:25 pm

Hiya,

bit of an odd question, but can you remember how long roughly you needed ice packs for (if at all!).  Due to my teeny tiny freezer space, and food for crimbo, I will have zero space available for such a luxury as a proper ice pack, so am looking at the KoolPak Instant ice packs.  They're for inidividual use though, and don't need to be kept in a freezer whoop!  Question is, how many do you think I might nee to err on the side of caution?
Thanks! x

Depends on you and YOUR needs.

Some women need then for a week, others need them for 3 months, maybe more!

So I'd err on the sode of caution and ensure there's room for quite a while yet lol. Xx

Ah OK!  I'll get a supply in to tide me over the xmas period then and then will restock once delivery dates are back to normal again!  If I end up with excess I'm sure there'll be a few toddler scrapes and bumps that'll need them :) x

Some women don't need them at all.

Some women have a lot of swelling and the ice packs not only help to settle that down but help take the tightness feeling away. Same with morning boob. The ice packs can help with that swelling too...some women have trouble coping with the post-op niggles such as pins and needles, sensitive nipples, sunburn sensations on the skin.... I could on, there's a lot that icepacks help out with. I personally used them thought my entire recovery and suffered terribly with swelling as well as the niggles, my nipples especially were so, so sore and without ice packs I think id have gone mad.

So you're very lucky not to have had to use them.

I have had ice packfor my feet operation. They are long ones with little covers to go over them and have helped with the swelling and throbbing in my feet. I am so glad I have them now to use on my boobs..I didn't even think of that!!

Yeah, I buy everything online now too.

The ice packs will last forever. I still have mine from nearly 8 years ago. My hubs uses them for sports injuries in between my cosmetic surgeries haha. Xx

I didn't use them, but hubs has some for sports stuff, and theyre very slimline, don't take up space at all.

Anything cool will do though, peas in a sandwich bag, cold flannel, so long as you keep your incisions dry its fine.
