Hiya, my surgeon requests no baths (or scars getting wet) for 4 weeks! Anyone else had this? I'm desperate for a proper long soak in the bath, just been having waist height baths and strip washes...making me feel sick lol xx

Unfortunately that's the usual advice! Did you ask if you could shower? You usually can so long as incisions are dried well after!

I didn't ask about showering, maybe I'd mentioned I was more a bath girl. My nurse just said shallow baths. That's cool tho, appreciate the honest replies :) xx

Water is a breeding ground for bacteria, hence no soaks, but most girls are given the all clear to shower after a couple of weeks. The key thing is to make sure your incisions are super dry afterwards, pat with towel then blowdry on cool. Check with your nurse/surgeon when you are allowed to.

I'm not a bath girl, I could shower from day one as had water proof dressings.

It will fly be and be so worth it.
