How long is hospital???
hi. I'm having my ba in jan, I'm booked in at 7:30am, surgery hopefully at 8:30am then realised after lunch time, has anyone else had this? I've been reading the ba stories on forum and a lot of people stay in. Just wondering as its going to be so quick, many thanks x x

Re: How long is hospital???
Most of the people I know was pretty much in and out, I had to stay in but only because I was a 2 hr car journey away, and if there was a problem I'd be a bit stuffed xx

Its up to you and your surgeon really. You get a lot more day cases these days, released in the afternoon. Most twilight surgeries are day cases. Some insist on an over night, and some day cases can turn into an overnight if they deem it necessary. But there's no right or wrong.

I'm told I need to stay in overnight but I'm quite happy about that to be honest . I also am having drains so don't want to come home with them xx

Apparently I'm going to be in overnight, might end up with drains too so best place to be. Plus have a little one so as much as I love him don't need him climbing all over me!! Xx
