Take button up pjs as often you won't be able to lift your arms up, your be in your robe and don't have to change into pjs if you don't want... Again take comfortable clothes to wear home such as zip up hoodie, loose trousers and shoes you can slip on... Your need your sports bra, maybe some reading material and some nibbles are good also for after your op such as a pick and mix! Xx

I went home the same day and stayed in my gown till I was ready to go home, I wore a zip through hoodie, joggers and uggs. Easy  and comfy.

Totally up to you, zip through hoodies, button up pjs or onesies. All perfect to travel home in x

Hi I hope it's ok to use this thread but do I take a macom or sports bra to hospital with me? Only I don't know what size to take with me or will I be all strapped up?

What ever you have, I brought the macoms and took those.. The Macom offers the same support as sports bras so if that's what you have take that :)
I brought two with me and the nurse put me in the size that fitted best xx

Take what you're going to feel most comfortable in Toni. I stayed in my gown overnight, there's no need to get changed at all, you're mostly too tired anyway, then the next day I just wore my onsie and slipper boots, this helped lots because when I got home I didn't need to change from outer wear clothing to comfort clothing. I was already in my onsie and ready to head to bed. Button from PJs as Jen said are great too  yes

PS - there are no 'stupid' questions here babe  Hug

you will take your bra with you packed in your bag ready for your day of surgery  yes

I would ALWAYS advise anyone opting for Macoms to also buy a back fastener too. It would be best to get yourself 'fitted' pre-BA so you KNOW your back size and can buy a back fastener in that back size along with some bra extenders which are only a few pounds.

The reason I suggest this is because you can NEVER guarantee the swelling and there's no chance of expanding a Macom. You can with a back fastener. So if you are very swollen and the Macom is too tight at least you'll have a plan B!  I'm also finding many women having problems after the swelling reduces with a Macom with the band no longer fitting and being too loose - this is really no good for your boobs if your surgeon wants them supported because ALL the support if a bra comes from the band, so again, if your swelling settles in a couple of weeks and you find this problem too, then the back fastener is always there for you.

Your surgeon should know what his guestimates your resulting size to be Bigbusty, so just call your clinic and request the guestimate so you know the cup size to shop for also. Xx

the M&S high impacts come in a pack of two for £29 so they're probably the best value for money. From the reviews they get here you're getting a breast bra at a VERY good price there. Whether you want a Macom too is entirely up to you. The Macom is an excellent bra and its entirely your choice whether you want this too, but with all front fasteners the only let down is the ability to expand it around the band to the extent you can with a back fastener with an expander. Xx
