Hi, I asked my surgeon about weather or not he would use a band post op. He said he would make one out of a dressing! Do you think I should buy a proper one? This is all new to me ! Sorry for the silly question. It's just nice to get others opinions .

Hiya, i was the same and woke up with mine already on and was provided for me. I wore mine for 6 weeks, not sure a dressing would be quite as good if you have to wear it so long, but trust your surgeon, they know best!

I'm going for my second consultation on Monday so perhaps I will ask him if I should buy one. Maybe you don't have to wear them for that long with atomicals

If you need one, your surgeon will tell you, but its entirely dependant on the woman. Most of the time the hospital will give you one or two if you do need one, but don't worry about it unless he specifically tells you to. I was in mine for 6wks also.

I had my surgery this Tuesday and woke up with one on. Got to wear it for 6 weeks. Imo it is an instrument of torture!! But it is really making the boobies drop quickly so I will persevere with it. Not all surgeons use them and they are only used with unders xx

I had one with overs too! Wore for about 3 weeks and then at night until 6 weeks. I actually became quite attached to it as it starts to feel really supportive!

They can be used to either overs or unders. It just depends on the surgeons choice. Like I said above, if he's going to make one out of bandages and has not outright said you need to go and buy an elastic one, don't waste your money. Its really not worth it, and as you see, most girls wake up with them on.

I had overs and didn't have one. My surgeon seemed pretty laid back about having to wear a bra as well.

I can't fault the results though.  Smike
