Need to find my own transport for my revision
I live in Wales and last surgery my partner took me and stayed in a hotel then took me home and looked after me when I was ill. This time it's just me and I have to get to London and back on my own and my mum is going to move in to help with the kids. I am a bit scared tho

Re: Need to find my own transport for my revision
Hey, Im also having a revision this Sunday, i'm so nervous as it wasn't planned, I found out my implant had ruptured I'v only had my implant 2 and a half years so as you can imagine this was a huge shock! (I haven't had any trauma either). How long have you had your implants, are you getting a revision to change size ect or have you had problems with your currtent implants xx

Can you see if a friend will join you? They could have a shopping spree! Will you be allowed to travel home unaccompanied after a GA?

You could maybe see if your clinic has the option of patient transport & enquire about the cost, it may not be that much more expensive than what you would have to pay arranging your own transport to & from your surgery. XXX

Re: Need to find my own transport for my revision
I only had mine last December but my right is sitting too high with droopy Ness underneath the implant (snoopy dog) and my left looks good but feels terrible as I have capsular contracture. So I'm having pocket revision capsultomy and moving from rounds to anatomical. Also going to ask if I can go from overs to understand when I see my surgeon pre op next month. Phew that's a lot of revision haha

Re: Need to find my own transport for my revision
I had to go from Glasgow to Manchester for my reop and I flew down the morning before and stayed at a hotel and my husband was going to come down the morning after my operation but he ended up coming down the night of it as I had a really bad reaction to the anesthetic so he was called to come down that night
if you speak to the clinic they might be able to get you some help with the transport xx

Definitely use the clinic's transport service if you have to.. you're not allowed to travel unaccompanied after a GA. So either that or get a friend to come with you x

My dear old daddy is going to come with me now. Probably cheaper to put him up in a hotel for the night x
