BA October
Hey :)
I have had one consultation with mya Cardiff but have booked to have my ba in October .
I'm not sure what size implants to have I'm really worried that they won't turn out how I would like them "/
I am 5"7 and weigh 10stone , I wear a b cup at the moment and can never ever ever get any sort of cleavage ..
Can't really explain what I would like apart from to be able to be confident without a bra
Can anybody give me some much needed advice please??

I would tell your surgeon what you would like, so being able to have cleavage and volume. The surgeon should take all your measurements and show you size of implants to try on and see how you feel, these will be the size implants he feel is best for you and then you can go from there. Did this not happen at your consultation?

Re: BA October
Thanks for replying :)
I have had only one consultation
Although I am meeting my surgeon Dr Frati on sept 25th
I Kniw I don't want to have big balls in my chest so was gutted to find out they don't do the tear drop implants :(
Can that shape still be done with 'normal' implants? Xx

Re: BA October
I would perhaps consider not booking and firming up your date until you feel happy and confident with your surgeons recommendations. You may find you're not, and then want to get another opinion from elsewhere and find you have more confidence with them. You can get a natural look with rounds as over time they adopt a tear drop shape. It's really hard for us to advise on size as everyone's bodies are so different, for example I'm just under 10 stone size 10/12 but despite being broad I have a narrow natural breast width so was limited on how big an implant I could have (without it looking very unnatural). I barely had any boobs before (didn't fill a 32a). Maybe have a look at the pre/post op stats thread to get an idea but the best thing to do would be to ask your surgeon and show him example pictures of what you like and for him to measure you up! x

Re: BA October
You've booked and you haven't met your surgeon? I would get your booking deposit back if possible and shop around a bit more, including private hospitals such as Spire as these surgeons are at the top of their game. x

Re: BA October
I agree with Princess I'm afraid, if you've not even met your surgeon, how can you know that you 'click' and can trust that they'll achieve what you want? You would have seen a PCC, which is basically a glorified sales person. They have no medical training whatsoever. If you can, I would recommend shopping around a bit more, and getting some other surgeons opinions on what's best for you and your body.
I would absolutely book in for a sizing consultation so you can discuss the look that you are after. Pictures are the best, google around for what you like, what you don't like etc. Size wise, everyone is different, so the same implant on a woman with the same stats may come out completely different. It should be a discussion between you and your surgeon. Also, the fact that they don't do teardrops, if this is what you were thinking of, then again, shop around.
Saying that, rounds and teardrops end up the same shape anyways. As the rounds settle, the substance drops to the bottom of the implant, giving it that natural slope look. Unless you ask for the 'round stuck on' look, you wont get it. I thought I would need teardrops to achieve this, but ended up with rounds, and they look nice and natural braless.
I know its probably not what you want to hear as you'll be all excited for your upcoming BA, but I would seriously re-consider and get some other actual surgeons opinions.

Re: BA October
hi hope all is well
I really owuld advise not booking anything at all until you have seen the surgeon as he might not be the one for you or willing to go to the size that you want, also you mention the tear drop implant there are loads of surgeons out there that offer this implant but then again it depends on the look that you want
I would go and see atleast another 2 surgeons and get advise from them all before booking and getting the op
as with the cleavage your cleavage will be as it is now, sometimes we dont get a cleavage even after having a BA xx

Re: BA October
These PCC's really do annoy me as they obviously still do a good enough sales pitch to make people like Ellie book a big operation without meeting the person who will be putting a scalpel to her body. Rant over x

I agree, so unethical. If companies aren't allowed to promote drugs/medicines to patients (rightly so) then I don't see how it's ok for a non-healthcare professional to promote and give the hard sell on a surgical procedure!

Re: BA October
Ellie unfortunately I do agree with everyone else. All the ladies on here are such great support and full of fantastic advice and very knowledgable. If you had full confidence, had seen your surgeon and had all questions answered then I would say fine but you havent even seen a surgeon. Shop around hun, see some surgeons and you will be so glad you had x

Re: BA October
All good advice already given!
Definately have a few consultations before considering going ahead with any op, you want to be confident in any choices you make and surgeons ability to get the result you are hoping for.
If you have paid a deposit ask for it to be refunded , you shouldn't be able to book an op having not yet seen the surgeon.
The more prep you do before hand will pay off in you being confident in your choices & decisions so you can go into surgery with the least amount of worry. XXX

Re: BA October
Completely agree I would want to meet my surgeon, I didn't like MHG as got fed up of nobody answering the phone, so I just cancelled my consultation, I thought if I can't talk to anyone now what would I do if I had a complication.
I didn't mind transform but I didn't want to travel too far for surgery, I get really bad car sickness and didn't think I'd be up for the journey after GA and didn't want to out myself through anymore than I have to.
Surgeon I'm using I got to meet straight off. I agreed to have him as have been able to research his credentials and also my friend used him. I feel him and I are on the same wave length. He specialises in the natural look which is what I want to achieve - you're not going to know that about your surgeon till you meet them!
Good luck Ellie but do think this through. If you're not beg encouraged to meet your surgeon consider whether the company really has your best interests at heart (we all know they want to make money first and foremost but you'd hope they have a degree of professionalism and pride in their service too!)
