October Buddies
Off ya go girls!
And if you haven't already and would like to, please don't forget to add your surgery details to the 'Calendar Entries' section of the forum (not the actual calendar) so we can then send on our good luck wishes your way on your special day

Re: October Buddies
Never mind! I'm just glad I'm not having to wait till November after all :)
Three sleeps to go and just one more school run before boob time! Scary but exciting.
How are you feeling?

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] thanks I'll keep you up to date!
I'm actually having overs and I'm quite pleased because I think the recovery is slightly quicker, and I have two small children needing my attention! Are you having overs or unders?
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] welcome to the October gang! Your date will be here before you know it.

Re: October Buddies
I have no idea yet I'm due consultation on 7th and guess me and doctor will decide from there ...do they both give a natural look? I'm also stuck on size I'm a A now and wanting a D end result in the price I've paid thing it goes to 500cl so was thinking 400 and odd. ...Thanks for the welcome and adding my date....what size you going for if you don't mind me asking xx

Re: October Buddies
So you've booked your surgery before your consultation? Eek! The control freak in me wouldn't like that lol. But yes the surgeon discusses whether they think overs or unders will suit you best. From what I've read on here you can't predict what cup size you'll end up with - as much as I'd love to be a D I'm not sure what I'll have once they're healed. I quite like the surprise element of that haha.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.], I'll be having unders as very little breast tissue - aiming for 325cc. Wish the time would come faster - yours is so soon now! x

Re: October Buddies
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] - Unders go under the (pec major) muscle -usually recommended for those with less breast tissue as they look more natural but the recovery is tougher. Theoretically there's a lower risk of capsular contracture (CC) and less likely to see rippling as the top of the implant is hidden under the muscle. Some people have to wait a while for them to 'drop' after surgery usually so look very high at first.
Overs means on top of the pec muscle but under the breast tissue itself - can sometimes look less natural if pushing for bigger sizes but faster recovery. And as above a higher risk of CC and rippling.

Re: October Buddies
I'm doing ok!
I've just written up my surgery story if you want to bore yourselves silly haha.
I've been home a couple of hours so just chilling out on the sofa. I've not really had any pain (well, only my hand where the cannula was - hate those!), my chest just feels tight and a bit uncomfortable.

Re: October Buddies
Thanks, I saw the write-up. I think overs aren't too bad to recover from, not sure about the mastopexy bit! Hopefully you stay on top of the painkillers, etc!
