Areolas have suddenly stretched!
I was wondering if anyone else has had this? It was just a simple BA through the crease just over 3 weeks ago. I believe they were still normal in size, the areolas, but recently I have noticed that they have stretched!
I'm not one for liking large areolas and I really hope that they will not have to get an operation on them alone. However, I am in two minds on whether to go a cup size bigger anyway so can always consider having them made smaller at the same time.
I hope that this is not going to be the solution though. Has anyone else seen they're areolas stretch then settle smaller again?? Or do you know what could have caused this? My recovery has been quick and relatively painless so I can't think what could have done this to them.
Any help will be very much appreciated! Xxx

Re: Areolas have suddenly stretched!
Your skin is so stretched right now Rox and everything is so tight. As your skin starts to relax and become to look more normal, your areolas will start looking smaller again...however over the years, your skin naturally stretches and this includes your areolas. So if you're unhappy with how your boobs look in the future you could as you said have a re-op to enlarge and reduce your areolas.
But at 3 weeks hun, it really is far too early to judge your new boobs/areolas at all. Xx

Phew! These are welcomed words! I had hoped that it was just the skin settling into a new shape. They don't look like they did before, they look rather faint and puffy.
I had worried as they have gone rather larger than I would have expected them to stretch but I'll keep an eye on them and just wait for now.
Thanks again for the very quick response! Xxx

Puffy is normal, plus there's bound to be some residual swelling in there still. It could also be that they're getting some sensation back, heat or being turned on will make them engorged. (I'm not saying you're turned on, but your nips might be through the bra rubbing!)

Mine looked larger and puffy for a while after having my BA now they're back to normal, so try not to worry. XXX
