I'm ready!
Hello girls!
Whilst there is a huge amount I don't know yet about BA I have learnt so much information from here that I think I'm ready!
My pre op appointment is on Wednesday next week and then my op is the Tuesday after.
I have my V pillow, antibacterial soap, dry shampoo, bedbath wipes, lipbalm, new dressing gown (white and cotton because I didn't want to take my black silk robe to hospital! ).The BF is fully prepped on booby blues and buddha belly and I've got the Sopranos to watch during my recovery. Just a bit of cleaning to do and maybe make some dinners to cook and freeze.
Got my sports bra too (although won't need until a week after surgery).
What have I forgotten?! Xx

Re: I'm ready!
Sounds like you are very well prepared to me. Have you got your clothes all ready for post op ? Need tops/vest which you can stand in to and pull up or button up shirts and comfy bottoms. I found it hard to do up the button on my jeans!
Not long to go now, enjoy the next few days x

Re: I'm ready!
Thank you ladies. The piccie was taken last weekend when I wore a bikini for the first time out in public! Luckily had a weekend away in the sun in our caravan and got to sunbathe by the pool. I spent the whole time feeling that everyone could tell I have had a boob job but it was also great to fill out a bikini top with boobies and no padding

Re: I'm ready!
Purple you're so organised! I took a wheelie case into hosp with me and I think the only thing I used was my toothbrush! Felt so rough the first night I barely moved from my bed and slept in the gown they provided! 2nd night I was up and about and getting dressed but you'll probably be home by then! The only other thing I would prepare are your kitchen cupboards! Make sure tea bags and anything you need are on a low shelf or on your worktop as I couldn't reach anything in ours!

Re: I'm ready!
Good advice!
I'll be very grumpy without tea haha!
My bf is home the first few days to look after me then he's back to work but I think he's looking forward to playing nurse for a few days! Haha

Re: I'm ready!
Electric toothbrush if you have one, jiggling with a manual is sore. Lozenges for post op, some girls get dry throat if a tube been down, plus the first couple weeks if you get a tickle coughing hurts. Snacks and entertainment (I had buffy on a playbook!) but you'll never need as much as you think. Get some bottles of water in at home and leave them around the house so there's always one in reach, you have to stay hydrated. And yes, all essentials at elbow level for the first week or so!!

Re: I'm ready!
Lozenges are a must, so glad I took some. When I woke I felt like I have the worst dry mouth/throat and it didn't go for hours. Today I've virtually lost my voice but it's not sore anymore.
Not long now! X
